Melissa and her company are absolutely amazing. She has been an invaluable resource in helping us navigate the newborn phase. She has helped us keep our sanity more than once. She has amazing technique, experience, kindness, and empathy. I feel more confident as a parent after working with her and I am definitely well rested. She pays special attention to our little one and was able to provide exactly what she needed in that moment. She was able to teach us how to implement these techniques to help us become happier and more confident parents. I will continue to work with her as our little one grows. We cannot recommend Melissa enough. My husband and I were looking for overnight care for our newborn son, and from our very first video call, we had that immediate feeling: she was the one.

What stood out was how much she wanted to understand us as parents. She asked what we needed, what we hoped to learn, and what would help us feel more comfortable and confident. As first-time parents, we had so many questions, and Melissa always welcomed them all. She made us feel comfortable asking anything and took the time to talk things through with us.

Melissa was there for our first night home with our son, and I cannot imagine a better person to have alongside us as we figured everything out. From the moment she walked through our door, I felt at ease. Being able to go to sleep knowing our son was safe, loved, and so thoughtfully cared for meant everything.

Her guidance covered so many of the things we were trying to figure out: caring for our newborn, feeding, breastfeeding, pumping, safely storing breast milk, and building a freezer stash. There is so much information online, and trying to make sense of it all while recovering and caring for a newborn can feel overwhelming. Having someone knowledgeable and reassuring to turn to made such a difference. Having someone help us work through those things in our own home was incredibly valuable. And, of course, getting some sleep so we could function during the day was a huge gift!

Melissa also set us up to feel confident after her time with us ended. She shared so much practical information and guidance that we felt prepared to put what we had learned into practice on our own. 

Melissa will always be such a special part of our first weeks as parents. She gave us rest, reassurance, and confidence when we needed all three, and we are so grateful for the care she gave our whole family. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for newborn care.

Melissa Wiltsey was our night doula for both of our sons, and bringing her back for our second baby probably tells you everything you need to know. We trusted her completely the first time, and we did not hesitate to call her again.

From the very first night home, she brought a calm that settled the whole house. New parenthood is overwhelming in those early weeks, and Melissa had a way of stepping in right when we needed her most. She was a tremendous help with breastfeeding, full of practical advice that actually worked rather than the generic tips you find everywhere. She also had a real gift for soothing a fussy newborn at 2 a.m., which meant we could finally rest and function the next day.

What stayed with us most was how genuinely she cared. She was never just doing a job. She paid attention to our boys, to our worries as parents, and to what each of us actually needed on a given night. That kind of warmth is hard to find and impossible to fake.

Those first weeks are a blur for most new parents. For us, Melissa was the reason they felt manageable instead of frightening. She is knowledgeable, steady, and kind, and she became someone we relied on during a vulnerable stretch of our lives.

If you are looking for a night doula, you will be in very good hands with Melissa. We are grateful for everything she did for our family, twice over, and we recommend her without reservation

Melissa and the One Dream to the Next team are amazing, I cannot recommend them enough! We originally found Melissa through our neighbors whom had worked with her for their first child, and we are so glad they made the recommendation. The team made such a difference in the first few months as first time parents. They are all knowledgeable, kind, nurturing, helpful, and so supportive. From the first night we felt very comfortable having them in our home caring for our baby. It was great having good stretches of sleep for us as well as having help with baby-related chores. Even when they weren't at our home helping us, Melissa was always there to answer questions and support us in any way she could.

We had a great experience with all of the doulas we met, but primarily worked with Melissa H. and absolutely loved her! I've never slept as soundly as I did when she was here because I knew she was taking such great care of our daughter. We miss seeing her every week.

Having Melissa and her team care for our baby was invaluable, we will always be grateful to them!

We had an amazing experience with our night nurse, Melissa. Having overnight support made such a difference during those newborn weeks. Melissa was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient, and always made us feel comfortable asking questions. We were able to get much-needed sleep knowing our baby was in great hands. She followed our preferences, helped sleep train our baby gently and gave us helpful tips that we still use today. One Dream to the Next is exactly that -- an absolute dream! We had the pleasure of working with Melissa and her team at the recommendation of a friend. We didn't have any overnight help with our first child but knew we'd need extra help with our second, and there is no way we would have any semblance of sanity without Melissa and her team. Melissa, Tina and Darrah are consummate professionals and have extensive experience and training with newborns. Communication was always clear, and Melissa had frequent check-ins to make sure our ever changing goals were aligned. Melissa is a treasure trove of knowledge not only with newborns but also lactation consulting and postpartum care. She entertained all of my questions at any hour of the day with patience and specific, personal advice. The team fit into our house and nighttime routine seamlessly and were very flexible with the schedule. I have known Melissa for 20+ years. During the time I have known her she has been a kind and caring individual. She always goes above and beyond for others, is highly professional and knowledgeable in what she does. She always offers to lend a helping hand no matter what it may be.

Melissa was the best decision we made when it came to our daughter. She made our transition into parenthood as smooth as it could possibly be. She was the voice of calm wisdom whenever I was concerned or struggling and boy does she really know her stuff! Melissa not only helped us establish a routine with our daughter; she also assisted me with breastfeeding. I may have given up without her support and encouragement. 

She’s a mom herself and loves babies and that became very apparent very quickly. She was so tender and sweet with our baby girl. Our daughter loved Melissa and that was incredibly reassuring. If we have more children, there’s no question that we’ll be returning clients! 

Melissa is incredibly professional and holds herself to a very high standard. She’s informed on all the latest information and provides the why behind her recommendations while still being respectful of any personal parenting decisions.
