Working with Kailey was nothing short of amazing. 
She was so responsive at any time of day and always gave thoughtful answers when I had any questions. 
I felt very supported and heard in all steps of the birthing process.
Our birth didn't go exactly as planned as I was induced 3 weeks early, however, during each step that the doctors suggested, she helped me to understand what was happening and the choices that I had. 
Labor progressed very rapidly and it was my wish to have an epidural. When that wasn't readily available, she knew what to do. From counter pressure to a comb to squeeze, she was prepared.
Anyone that chooses to have her as their doula is very lucky!

As a first time parent I was nervous about labor and birth, and I knew I wanted to have a doula who could be a calming presence for both me and my husband. We met with Kailey and both knew we would love to have her on our birth team.

I had an incredible labor and birth experience, and I credit a lot of that to Kailey. I called her in the middle of the night and she answered right away, and gave me a couple options of what to do, and she ended up coming over. She spent the entire day with us while I labored at home, suggesting different positions, counter pressure and pain management techniques. She also made sure I stayed fed and hydrated. She was a very calming presence and was super supportive of me the entire time. She timed my contractions for me and even called my midwives for me when it was time to go in. She knew our birth plan and was willing to advocate for us if anything were to not go accordingly.

She let me squeeze her hand and scream in her face during contractions and didn’t even flinch! She took such good care of us

She also came to our house a few days after birth once my milk had come in, to make sure latching was going okay, and to check on us.

I highly recommend Kailey with Golden Roots Birth to anyone who is looking for a doula who can be calm, supportive, a great cheerleader and advocate.
