Kirsten played a crucial part to our birth story & we genuinely believe the birth of our son was as beautiful as it was because we had her by our side. I had set a goal to deliver at our hospital naturally and was recommended to have a doula there to support me. When I met with Kirsten, I knew instantly she’d be the right fit. We worked together to create my detailed birth plan, went through ways to best prepare for labor & discussed possible scenarios that we may walk through, so there would be few surprises. She was easy to get a hold of & a great resource to ask questions or run things by as we waited for our baby to come. When the day finally arrived, Kirsten had the most calming & reassuring presence. Her expertise allowed me to labor at home for significantly longer than what we would have done on our own, keeping me in a calming space & progressing naturally. One of the greatest resources she provided was guiding my husband in ways to best support me, so he could be as hands on as possible, making it a beautiful shared experience for us. Kirsten’s care & support was priceless. Now when I share my birth story with friends & family, many women ask me for Kirsten’s contact information! She’s truly the best.

I am so thankful that I chose Kirsten to be my doula for multiple reasons. During the whole birth she was a calm peaceful presence, and she continually spoke words of encouragement. She was also so helpful in reminding me what stage of labor I was in, or would explain why a new birthing position would be helpful. Lastly I was blown away by her endurance as my labor lasted for 70 hours and she was with me for about 60 of those hours. I would not have been able to make it through with out her encouragement and back massages! At the end when I was thoroughly exhausted she helped me to persevere with her words as she helped me to stay present and focused in reality.

I am so incredibly grateful for my doula, Kirsten. I chose to work with her for my second birth, and from the beginning she created such a safe and supportive space for me. I was able to open up to her about my first birth experience, which ended in birth trauma and left me with a lot of fear going into my second. Kirsten listened with so much compassion and made it easy to share my story without judgment.

Our home birth experience with Kirsten looked very different from my first birth. Things progressed much more quickly, and I felt more emotionally grounded and able to handle the intensity of labor. Everything happened so fast that the midwives didn’t even make it in time, but having Kirsten there made all the difference. Her presence helped me feel calm, confident, and supported through every moment.

I am so thankful she was by my side for such an incredible experience. I’m also grateful for the care she put into preparing placenta capsules for me afterward. Her support during and after birth meant so much to me and my family. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better doula.
