Chaya attended the birth of my 5th child and she was the BEST part of my birth team.

She was very attentive, caring, kind, affirming, compassionate, helpful, knowledgeable, willing, and a plethora of other positive adjectives that I could go on and on.

Honestly, I don't know how I ever gave birth without her. She helped involve my husband in ways he's never been involved in my births and made the experience enjoyable for him and me. When we look back at our photos with her glowing smile, he always comments about how amazing she was and how he was so happy she was there.

Chaya will empower you to believe in yourself and your body's ability to birth a human. She comes with all sorts of helpful oils, tools, wonderfully strong hands for counter pressure, and tons of knowledge on how to breath and relax (I had no idea it was possible to relax during labor - in fact, I wasn't a bit sore the next day. I felt like a Mac truck had run me over with my previous labors).

Not only is she amazing during the labor and delivery, but she prepares you for it by meeting with beforehand and showering you with information on what to expec. She helps you come up with your ideal birth plan and back up plans. Then, once you've delivered the baby, she comes to your home to check in on you and baby and make sure you're adjusting well. She is full of helpful advice for any situation you may encounter.

I couldn't offer a higher recommendation. Chaya is a top knotch doula. You won't find anyone more supportive and warm. If you're pregnant and looking for a doula, look no further. You found the one with her!

Chaya was recommended to me by the doula I hired for my first birth (doula 1 moved to another country). I first met Chaya at a Starbucks, and I found her warm and very informed, but also so humble and approachable.

Once we decided we’d work together, we talked about my worries whenever they’d come up, and I’d call her after every appointment I had with my doctor. These are the things I give her complete credit for: 1. At 35 weeks, I was cavalierly told that the baby was breech. This, of course, would throw a wrench into my plans of trying to give birth naturally. Chaya recommended to me a chiropractor and exercises to help position the baby. I followed her advice and at the 37 week mark, the baby turned to optimal position. 2. Chaya calmed me down several times when I thought I’d have to be induced. She talked me out of taking castor oil. She encouraged me to listen to my body and repeatedly reminded me to advocate for myself with my doctor and gave me the tools to feel confident. 3. Lastly and most importantly, Chaya was there from pretty early active labor all the way to the birth of my child. She literally labored with me—that is no joke, massaging me, setting up aromatherapy, giving me affirmations, helping me try different positions to move things along, and I had contractions every 3 minutes for a solid 8 hours. Her advice was on point, and she seemed to have an intuitive sense as to what I needed and how I needed it.

There were times in my labor where I had lost hope in myself but she magically got me through those spots, and the next thing I knew, I had my son without medication. Two pushes and he was out. I couldn’t believe I had done it. I credit that to Chaya. What an angel and what a gift she is to my family.

I can’t recommend her enough. She will always hold a special place in my heart for her dedication and the faith that she had in me.

Chaya was my doula of choice for my third birth, though as circumstances had it, I went into labor exactly two weeks late which coincided with a trip she had planned long before. Fortunately, backup had been promptly arranged and I had a great birth. Even having Chaya as a doula throughout my pregnancy was extremely helpful. I had many doubts and concerns, but Chaya was able to provide endless support, education, and encouragement that allowed me to enter labor with confidence. While working with Chaya, it's easy to recognize that she is fiercely passionate about every aspect of the birth cycle. I never felt embarrassed to discuss any topic, and it was a relief to have someone other than my husband to act as a sounding board throughout my pregnancy. Chaya's experience is extensive. She is never afraid to advocate for her client in pressing situations, and she remains calm and collected throughout the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Chaya to any expecting mother looking for a doula who can keep her cool and totally be there for her.

Chaya was so incredibly helpful when we decided at 38 weeks pregnant that we wanted to capsulize my placenta. I contacted her as soon as I knew about it and she made the whole process so seamless, even with only 2 weeks notice on her end. She walked me through what’d I’d need to do at the hospital to retrieve my placenta. She was also very accommodating to the new Mom lifestyle with pick up & delivery included in her services. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful for Chaya & her services. We will he recommending her & Labor of Love to many friends giving birth to come.

Our doula Chaya Hagler has been a tremendous help for us in preparation and the birth of our son. Chaya is knowledgeable, supportive, caring doula and massage therapist with great experience, who is truly passionate about helping parents having the birth experience they want. We are so grateful she was by our side through this special journey.
As first time parents me and my husband were overwhelmed by the amount of information (often confusing and contradicting) available online about the pregnancy, childbirth and labor. I was surprised how difficult it was to find a natural-birth-friendly doctor and hospital, at least in our area. After reading a lot of stories about hospitals routine practices to use medications, inducing the labor, high rate of C-sections, I knew I will need a support and guidance of a caring birth professional to help me get the birthing experience I want and reduce the stress for me and my husband.
Chaya recommended us the exercises and best positions for different stages of labor, what to ask for in the hospital, how to handle unexpected situations and a lot more. Together we created a Birth plan that I then discussed with my ob/gyn and the hospital to bring everyone involved to the same page and communicate clearly.
Working with Chaya before the birth along with researching online and reading books (which she also recommended) made both me and my husband feel a lot more at ease and prepared.
During labor Chaya was supportive, encouraging and instrumental in helping me go through it both emotionally and physically, especially when my labor progress was slower than I anticipated. She also supported my husband and provided him with guidance on where he can help in the process. Overall, I was very happy with my birth and delivery experience, even though it was not all as originally planned. Absolutely recommend Chaya Hagler to any parents-to-be who are looking for support, clarity and stress-free birthing experience!!!

Chaya was a blessing at my first birth! I could not have asked for a better doula! She came so prepared with comfort measures, labor movement techniques, and a plethora of knowledge. She not only helped me during and after the birth but also for months before if i had any questions or concerns she always had the answer to help me. She was extremely calm. I felt her peace of mind and positive energy as soon as she walked into the birthing room. Whatever i wanted or needed she was ready to help me with.

Thank you Thank you Awesome Doula Chaya!

I am 7 weeks postpartum from the birth of my second child, and now that the ‘dust’ has settled I wanted to write about my experience working with Chaya to let every interested future parent know what an amazing experience my husband and I have had with her. She was with us through the birth of our daughter in 2016 and again with the birth of our son in 2018. I can’t imagine going through it without the immense support that she provided.

I found Chaya provided personal care and continuity that I was missing from my medical practitioner. The pre-labor visits were incredibly helpful and prepared my husband and I for the birthing experience. Chaya is a wealth of information on everything from labor positions, pain management, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and more. Beyond that, she is open and honest about all of the different options while remaining completely unbiased about any personal preference. Working with Chaya enabled me to have a comprehensive yet realistic birth plan that gave me great comfort. Especially with my first, so much about labor felt unknowable and scary; Chaya helped remove that fear and was a source of encouragement for both my husband and I.

During both labors, I distinctly remember Chaya’s calm, confident voice reminding me about what was happening and how to move through the pain, supporting both Scott and myself, and providing a voice of reason when I didn’t think I could do any more. My second labor was significantly shorter than my first, only 1.5 hours, and the pain and quick progression overwhelmed me. Chaya cut through the chaos and empowered me to focus on bringing my child into the world safely and without fear.

I am so grateful to have had her there to witness and take an active role in what can only be described as the most intimate and cherished moments of my life. My birth experiences were both incredibly positive thanks to Chaya. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Having Chaya present for the birth of my first child was an invaluable experience. I feel so fortunate to have found her (through doulamatch!). She was incredibly patient, attentive and gave me support during labor in a way that no one else could. My only regret is not having her for my second birth- we had moved far so it wasn’t an option! I now consider Chaya a close friend and am thrilled for anyone lucky enough to have her at their birth!

We worked with Chaya for our 2nd birth and could not be happier! We had a doula with our 1st birth and had a disappointing labor process. Unfortunately the doula we hired was unable to be there, so through my hardest parts of labor I was being supported by a stranger. I really wanted a better experience for my 2nd birth but was unsure if a doula would be worth it again. I am VERY happy we hired Chaya! I didnt realize I had not fully gotten over my dissapointment in my 1st birth, but Chaya helped me through those feelings and relieved the concerns I had going into my 2nd birth because of my 1st experience.
Chaya is extremely well educated, and as a 2nd time mom who did everything to educate herself the 1st time around, I still found Chaya teaching me useful laboring information. We even had her in our 3rd birth! The best part about my experience with Chaya is she truly listened to who I am as a person and what my husband and I needed out of our doula, and really honored that! Every step of the way she was kind and reassuring and I think truly set me up for success in achieving my goals in the 2nd & 3rd birth. I think the best kind of doula is the one who sets you up for success ahead of time, and then is there to support you and help you navigate the hiccups during the actual labor. I started terrified that I would have another bad experience and ended up going into the hospital knowing that I could have a great experience no matter what happened. That was truly the magical part of my interactions with Chaya! Chaya made me feel confident enough to birth at home longer for my 2nd&3rd births and be as comfortable as possible, helped me decide when to go into the hospital, and navigated smoothly the interactions with the hospital staff and my labor. Even in my 3rd birth with placenta complications. I am so thankful Chaya was a part of our labors and would recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, flexible, knowledgable, and effective doula!”

Chaya is a caring, knowledgeable, and empowering doula! I moved to the US 8 months pregnant with my first baby. Chaya met with me before the birth to discuss and educate me. She encouraged me to compose a birth plan and gave me examples. She didn’t push her wishes for the birth, but rather encouraged me to explore my desires for my birthing experience. Even though I ended up having an emergency c-section (baby was in distress, but was born healthy), Chaya was with me in the hospital supporting me and immediately post-party as well. Our doula relationship didn’t end there as we had 2 follow-up meetings at home to support me in adjusting to motherhood and my healing processs (physically and emotionally). She is an excellent doula and I highly recommend her!
