Type of practice: Solo practice

Clients per month: 1 to 4 births and 1 to 2 postpartum families

Postpartum limits/restrictions: no inside smoking, 8 hour shifts required.

Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
I attend births at hospitals that will allow birth doulas to attend, please check with your provider that this is acceptable - they will usually have you sign a consent form during admission saying you give permission for me to attend your birth. I do not accept medical insurance.

Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I volunteer every year with Operation: With Love From Home, packaging goods to send to our troops in the summer and over the holidays as care packages. I also have been volunteering with the Napa Chapter for the Alzheimer's Association for the last 5 years and have been on the Chair of Event Experience, helping coordinate events for its volunteers. I teach free and paid classes at a Montessori style play-based studio here in Napa as a resource to the community for new and expecting mothers and partners to learn more about what to expect in their pregnancy, birth, and after. I have taught classes on labor, birth, lactation and feeding, and understanding the fourth trimester (postpartum). It has been a very rewarding experience being able to help local mothers come together in the community to learn together and get a deeper understanding of what to expect as a new mother and have a safe space to ask questions outside of a doctors office.

Fee Details

My fees depend on how far the traveling is from my location and how long the contract lasts and how frequent the visits are, I am willing to negotiate the price depending on frequency and set up a weekly salary at a discounted rate considering those variables. My rate does not change depending on the time of day, it is the same rate for day time and over night care. I offer the same level of care for each client that includes light housekeeping, partner and mother support and education, nutrition and hydration support, light meal preparation, baby feedings, assistance with sleep/feeding times, lactation support, and any other postpartum needs. I am a well-educated doula who teaches classes in Napa locally to new mothers so I am well equipped with information for transitional phases and am prepared to help you with this new phase in your life and I am so excited to work with you! :)
