5 years
Type of practice: Solo practice
Clients per month: 0 to 2
Postpartum limits/restrictions: I work in most home environments but require no indoor smoking. Friendly pets are welcome if they are secured or kept in a separate room, especially if large or excitable. I do not provide medical care or heavy housecleaning. Minimum shifts are 4 hours for in-person support and 1 hour for virtual support. Safe, secure parking space must be available. Clients must notify me of any illness or recent household exposure before my arrival for in-person visits. If an undisclosed illness presents a health risk, I may end the shift, and payment will still apply. I follow evidence-based practices for newborn and postpartum care and will decline requests that conflict with these standards. If I must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, I will notify you promptly and make reasonable efforts to arrange qualified backup support, though this cannot be guaranteed. Services are provided at-will, and either party may end services at any time. I reserve the right to terminate services immediately if there are safety concerns, undisclosed illness risks, harassment or abuse, unsafe environments, or requests for unsafe baby care practices.

My advocacy work centers on supporting families through accessible, compassionate postpartum care. As a postpartum doula trained through DONA International and certified by Lifespan Doulas, I help families feel supported during the often under-resourced postpartum period. While much of my work is direct care with families, I view this as a form of advocacy—creating safe, informed, and affirming spaces for parents and children during major life transitions. My background in fashion design, legal studies, and sociology informs my understanding of how community support systems impact family wellbeing, and I aim to embody the “tia/auntie/steady presence” that many families no longer have access to. I am also committed to continued professional education and advocacy through training and study. I am currently studying holistic infant sleep through Dr. Lyndsey Hookway as I work toward becoming a Level 6 Holistic Sleep Coach. This training supports my broader goal of providing evidence-based, responsive care that honors connection, cultural awareness, and the diverse needs of modern families.
My postpartum support is offered on a sliding scale based on household income, using California’s 2025 Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines and adjusted for household size. Hourly Rates: 0–100% FPL: $40/hour 101–150% FPL: $45/hour 151–200% FPL: $50/hour Above 200% FPL: $55/hour (full investment) Awake overnight support (10 pm – 6 am): +$5/hour added to the above rates. Choosing the full investment rate helps subsidize care for families with fewer financial resources. Household size includes all adults, children, and dependents relying on the combined household income. Rates are confirmed during our initial meeting, and financial information is kept confidential. Proof of income may be requested.
