My husband and I had the privilege of working with Shelbie for the birth of our first child, and I truly can't recommend her enough.

From our very first prenatal meeting through postpartum, Shelbie was a calming, positive, and reassuring presence. Her prenatal planning sessions helped us prepare not only logistically by creating our birth plan, but also emotionally for the uncertainty that naturally comes with labor and delivery. 

One of the things we appreciated most was how responsive and communicative she was throughout the entire process. She always took the time to answer our questions, check in, and make sure we felt supported. She also made an effort to truly get to know us, our family, and even our pets, which meant so much to both my husband and me. It never felt transactional—it felt like we had someone genuinely invested in our journey.

During labor, Shelbie worked seamlessly alongside the hospital staff, providing encouragement, helping me try different laboring and pushing positions, and offering a calm, steady presence through a long and challenging labor. Although my delivery ultimately didn't go according to our birth plan, I never felt alone. She advocated for us when appropriate, adapted with us as things changed, and provided unwavering emotional support every step of the way.

Her postpartum visit was just as meaningful. Having someone check in on our new family, answer questions, and simply give us the space to tell our birth story from beginning to end was incredibly valuable during those first weeks.

Shelbie is compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and deeply passionate about the families she supports. It is so clear that she genuinely loves what she does.

If you're looking for a doula who will make you feel informed, supported, and truly cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I wholeheartedly recommend Shelbie.

Shelbie was truly a gift to our family in the postpartum time! She was thoughtful, attentive, and great with our newborn. Shelbie went above and beyond our expectations. She made the early weeks feel less overwhelming and more like something we could actually enjoy. We're so grateful for her!

If you're wondering what Shelbie is like, she is amazing! She is calm, confident, and very intelligent. She has a natural ability to connect with anyone and have them comfortable and chuckling in no time. She is supportive and decisive, which is wonderful in hard and high stress environments, and she uses these abilities to love and guide others well. Shelbie naturally picks up on social situations to navigate them with ease which is also a blessing in labor, delivery, and postpartum. She is an excellent and direct communicator, welcomes feedback, and is great at asking questions to learn what is important to support you best. Shelbie comes with an arsenal of tools on her tool belt and is a life learner constantly equipping herself with more. She is known for excelling at what she does and I can't recommend her enough. She is a joy.

Shelbie is such a joy to be around! She is incredibly positive, encouraging, trustworthy, and knowledgeable about all things pregnancy and babies. She really takes the time to listen and get to know you, and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and cared for. We can't recommend her enough!!

Shelbie is an excellent communicator, and great with babies and kids of all ages! She brings positive energy to every birth story. I've learned a lot from her, and she was a great resource for me when I was pregnant and postpartum.

Shelbie has been amazing with my baby. She is very attentive and caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to love on there little one! My little one is always so excited to see her!
