I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without my postpartum doula Alyssa. She came for just 4 hours and completely poured into me and my family. She helped with my 2 younger girls, cleaned my kitchen, did baby laundry, made sure I pumped, fed me, kept me hydrated, and encouraged me to actually rest. All of that while wearing my baby and caring for him so lovingly. It felt like having an extra set of hands and a calming presence all in one. Not only did I feel refreshed and taken care of, but my husband also felt so much less overwhelmed and stressed having her there. We both were able to breathe. Every new mom deserves this kind of support.
