We loved Rebecca as our doula!! We found Rebecca late in our first pregnancy, and it was the best decision we made in preparation for our upcoming delivery! My husband and I had already prepped our birth plan (goal was to have an unmedicated water birth with as little interventions as possible), but Rebecca made it so much stronger and gave us advice and educational wisdom based on her lengthy experience. She helped calm our nerves in the months prior, by giving us tons of examples, talking through important elements of labor signs / delivery and even gave us materials to help us through post partem. She spent hours with us prior to delivery, to ensure we felt confident going in! 

When our day came and the contractions started, Rebecca got us through each stage. When we made it to the hospital she was wonderfully helpful! She always ideas for what we should do next, whether that be exercises to help move the baby into position, resting, eating, taking a bath, pain management techniques or emotional distraction through conversation. She made what was a 24 hour labor absolutely fly by. We felt confident, informed and supported at each stage of labor. She also enabled my husband to be fully present with me, while she navigated some of the background noise and distractions. We felt like she was completely in our corner and would advocate for exactly what we wanted in labor. We felt like she was truly there for us, that it wasn't just a job for her. 

When we reflected back on the birth experience, we 100% believe it would not have been as perfect without Rebecca. She was both the emotional support person, but also gave us the direction / instruction we needed to best manage the pain and next steps. When we have our next baby, Rebecca will be one of the first people we call so that we can hire her again!

Rebecca is truly a gift. I cannot fully express how grateful I am to have had her walk alongside me through pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum, and into motherhood. Having Rebecca as my constant guide made all the difference. Rebecca was a steady cheerleader, trusted voice, advocate, and source of wisdom. Our meetings during pregnancy gave my husband and I the knowledge and tools we needed for a successful labor and delivery. We loved meeting with Rebecca because she is joyous and passionate about her work. During labor, when the pain was so intense I couldn’t think or speak, it was her voice I heard and trusted. Rebecca’s strong leadership skills and expertise allowed her to guide my labor and delivery each step of the way. She knew just what positions to rotate me through to progress things naturally even though I had been induced. Rebecca’s gifts are extraordinary, and our family will forever be grateful for her care and support. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
