Leah (she/they) was born in a snowstorm, six weeks early and via emergency c-section and has been interested in safe and dignified birth ever since! Her doula training was entirely in Spanish so she is especially excited to support Spanish speakers, as well as queer and trans families, disabled parents, covid conscious people and Jewish families. Leah also offers guidance around Jewish spiritual and Ashkenazi cultural birth traditions. When they aren't doing birthwork, Leah is a preschool teacher, Hebrew school tutor and amateur herbalist. I offer sliding scale services (pay what you can) in English and Spanish including prepartum education and planning, in person labor support in the DMV and postpartum care. I can accept DC and MD medicaid as well as some private insurance as payment.
