As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), certified by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP), I am actively involved in volunteer service and advocacy efforts that support maternal and infant health within my profession. Since 2025, I have volunteered with Open Arms Perinatal Services in Seattle, where I assist with organizing and preparing supplies for families, support office operations, and contribute to community programs that improve access to perinatal care. I am also a member of the King County Lactation Coalition, where I collaborate with other maternal and child health professionals to promote breastfeeding education and community awareness. As part of this work, I helped design and distribute educational resource cards to connect families with local lactation support services. In recognition of my commitment to breastfeeding education and community service, I received the GOLD Lactation Outstanding Volunteer Scholarship. I was also awarded the Infant Massage USA SEED Scholarship, which enabled me to pursue Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) training and expand my ability to support families during the postpartum period.
