As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), certified by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP) and Postpartum / birth doula I am actively involved in volunteer service and advocacy efforts that support maternal and infant health within my profession. Currently volunteer as speaker at PEPS and volunteer with Open Arms Perinatal Services in Seattle, where I assist with organizing and preparing supplies for families, support office operations, and contribute to community programs that improve access to perinatal care. I am also a member of the King County Lactation Coalition, where I collaborate with other maternal and child health professionals to promote breastfeeding education and community awareness. As part of this work, I helped design and distribute educational resource cards to connect families with local lactation support services. In recognition of my commitment to breastfeeding education and community service,
CARROT APPROVED Postpartum Doula 1275 for basic service , 1975 for full service.

As a first-time dad, I wasn't sure what to expect during the postpartum period, but having Hua as our postpartum doula made a huge difference. She was calm, knowledgeable, and always knew how to support both my wife and our baby. She answered our questions with patience, gave us practical newborn care tips, and helped us feel much more confident as new parents. She also made sure I felt included and supported during the transition. We are so grateful for her care and would highly recommend her to any growing family.

Vicky was an incredible support during my postpartum recovery. She is kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares about both mom and baby. Her breastfeeding guidance gave me confidence, and she always took the time to answer my questions with patience. I felt supported, cared for, and much less overwhelmed because of her help. I highly recommend Hua to any family looking for a compassionate and professional postpartum doula!
