Mama:

I can not speak highly enough about my experience with Tiffany as our doula. She stepped in during my ninth month of pregnancy when our original dula had an accident that prevented her from being able to attend our birth. Tiffany was so gracious and respectful of the situation. In addition, her presence was so comforting during my labor. Her energy was calm, but at the same time steady and strong. We knew we could really depend on her.

Papa:

Tiffany was outstanding in her support of both of us. She got me coffee, gave me heads up on upcoming events, and encouraged my efforts throughout the birth. She made me feel like I was a critical and helpful part of the birthing process. Her helpful suggestions and informative meetings before and after the birth were a big help to us. I would recommend Tiffany to a friend for sure.

I have to start out by saying we had such an amazing experience working with Tiffany. She was so supportive through out my pregnancy and labor. My husband and i hired Tiffany early on in our pregnancy and got so much out of our frequent visits before the birth discussing anything and everything we had questions about or wanted to discuss. During the labor process (over 48 hours), Tiffany was there every step of the way! My husband was so appreciative of Tiffanys gentle guidance of how to better help me and be a supportive birth coach. He was also very appreciative of the times that Tiffany allowed him to go rest so that he could regain his engery to come back and continue to support me. Tiffany has a great energy and the hospital staff reacted very well to her presence. She really allowed my husband and the hospital staff to support to me in my needs and listen to all my concerns. When my birth plan didn't go as planned, I never felt any resistance but rather just more support on our new plan. My husband will tell anyone that asks that the money we spent to hire a doula was the best money he has ever spent. The birth process was challenging but so rewarding and with the support of Tiffany I felt that I got everything I wanted out of the birth process! I would definitely work with her again :)

Tiffany provided amazing support during my pregnancy and birth.  In our visits with her before our baby was born, she guided my partner and me through our physical and emotional preparations for welcoming our new baby.  In our discussions surrounding Tiffany's talking points about birth and caring for a newborn, my partner and I would often reflect on how grateful we were to have her as part of our pregnancy experience.  She provided unbiased, credible information to help us form our birth preferences, and she truly respected our choices.  Tiffany showed great patience and knowledge in answering our questions, as well as gently bringing up issues we had not considered for birth and baby preparations.  During the birth, Tiffany was incredible.  She gave my partner and me the tools we needed to follow through on our birth preferences.  She calmy advocated for us during the birth and helped my partner fully support me.  The result was an amazing birth experience that both my partner and I will treasure for the rest of our lives.  I will always give Tiffany credit as being an important part of making our hopes surrounding bringing our baby into the world a reality.  We also greatly appreciated Tiffany's postpartum check-ins.  Her calm presence reassured us, and we felt comfortable sharing our new parent wonderings and worries.  I would recommend Tiffany to anyone, whether they were having their first baby or their tenth.  She enriched our lives from pregnancy through postpartum.

When we were discussing the merits of having a birth doula for our 3rd birth, my hubby wasn't convinced it was a necessity. The first 2 had been easy, medicated, standard hospital births: quick, predictable, and manageable. But I wanted to have a natural, drug-free birth for this last baby, and that was unchartered territory for both hubby and I. Tiffany easily surpassed our expectations in her intuitive skills, ability to listen and correctly assess our needs, and support us with every step in the pregnancy. She was accessible whenever I had a worry, provided a fantastic support for hubby & I as labor approached, and never once felt awkward or forced in our discussions.

When labor hit, she gave good sound advice, asked helpful questions to ensure we knew everything we could, and arrived at our house to assist with the laboring until we were ready to head to St V's. She is so serene! She knew just what to say, how to say it, and had a natural rhythm and timing to step into the birth-dance competently and flawlessly. She worked well with the staff at St V's, was never in the way, never made me feel embarrassed to be naked/indecent, knew where things were and made them magically appear (it seemed!), and was simply lovely from beginning to end.

Having a natural labor for the first time, after 2 very easy pain-free prior births, was a BIG step out of my comfort zone, and when I needed that encouragement to get to thru a tough contraction, or to transition into the next phase, she was there. My hubby and i have repeatedly remarked to each other, even 5 mo postpartum, that we couldn't have had the fabulous, awesome, successful, exhilarating, peaceful birth that we had, without her capable assistance. I can confidently recommend her to anyone considering a doula and know that she'll be a fantastic addition to the birth team.
