Finding out I was pregnant again should have felt familiar, but it didn’t. This was my second child, yet it felt like my first all over again. My oldest son is 14 years old, and with this pregnancy being high risk, fear quickly replaced excitement. I began to feel like my voice no longer mattered decisions were being made for me, not with me. That’s when I knew I needed a midwife and a doula. That search led me to Angel Williams. Her name truly says it all. From the very beginning, Angel took the time to fully understand my medical history, my fears, and my hopes. She showed up consistently after every appointment, through phone calls, texts, and in-person support. We talked through my birthing plan in detail, ensuring my voice was heard and respected. She shared resources for baby items, made sure I was eating, and checked on my emotional well being. She didn’t feel like someone doing a job she felt like family. Angel supported me through breastfeeding and stood by my side when it mattered most: during delivery. She made sure my birth went exactly as planned, advocating for me behind the scenes. She also captured beautiful photos that now tell the story of my pregnancy moments I would never have had without her. We cried together, laughed together, and leaned on each other through it all.
My son is almost two months old now, and Angel is still here hands on and supportive. I didn’t just gain a doula. I gained a best friend, a family member, someone who stood in the trenches with me when I was at my weakest, literally holding me when I couldn’t hold myself. I love her deeply and would recommend Angel Williams to anyone without hesitation. She didn’t just help bring my son into the world she helped carry me through it.
