We had the privilege of having Kim Banuchi as our doula during my pregnancy and birth, and she was truly a blessing. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable in pregnancy, unmedicated labor, breastfeeding, and postpartum, and it brought me so much peace knowing I could turn to her for answers and support throughout the entire journey.

Before my birth, we had several meetings where she covered every detail—even things I never would have thought about. These conversations helped make sure my fiancé, Kim, and I were all on the same page with my birth plan, and they gave me so much confidence and excitement as labor approached. She also provided us with so many helpful resources.

When labor began, I had packed a small birth center bag full of tools and comfort items, but the moment we walked into the birth room I forgot entirely about it. Kim, being amazing as always, went through the bag right away. She set up my twinkle lights, used my Polaroid camera, and helped me make use of the tools I had packed, along with things she brought for me. Without her, I would have forgotten every single one of them.

Throughout labor, Kim guided us through each step with grounding words, position suggestions, and breathing techniques. She made sure my birth plan was honored and communicated clearly with my midwives when I couldn’t focus on advocating for myself. Knowing she was there to protect my space and support my wishes brought me so much comfort.

Kim stayed with us from the very beginning of labor until the moment we were discharged and heading home. I cannot thank her enough for the way she showed up for us during such a pivotal moment in my life. If you’re looking for a doula, you won’t regret choosing Kim.

I cannot recommend Kim enough. From pregnancy to birth to postpartum, she made me feel supported, understood, and genuinely cared for. In the hospital setting—where it’s so easy to feel rushed, pushed, or overlooked by staff—she consistently advocated for me and helped make sure my wishes for a natural delivery were respected. She offered guidance, comfort, and practical recommendations that my nurses and even my midwives didn’t suggest, and those techniques ended up being exactly what my body needed.

During the final stages of labor, her presence was truly invaluable. She helped me stay grounded, focused, and confident, and I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through those intense moments without her calm encouragement and hands-on support.

Her care didn’t stop there. In the early postpartum hours, when everything feels tender and overwhelming, she helped me navigate those first moments of recovery and was especially helpful as I learned how to breastfeed. Her reassurance and knowledge made such a difference in easing that transition.

Having Kim as my doula was one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy and birth. She is compassionate, deeply knowledgeable, and wholeheartedly committed to helping you achieve the birth experience that you want. I’m so grateful for the role she played in my birth experience and would recommend her to anyone looking for truly supportive, empowered care.

I had the most beautiful delivery experience because I had the wonderful support of my doula Kim. I couldn't have done it without her. She took the time before my delivery to talk with me and get to know me. I feel like I've also gained a friend. She really makes you feel comfortable and like you are her only priority. The first time I met Kim I felt like I had known her for years. She was always available to answer my questions or concerns no matter what time of night or day. And she kept in regular contact with me up until my delivery. Kim was so encouraging and informative. 
When it came time for labor Kim was prepared and ready to go at a moments notice. She helped me through every contraction and coached my husband on how to help me. When we got to the hospital she drew me a bath with essential oils, set up led candles and then when I got in she rubbed my shoulders. I truly felt like I was being pampered, more like being at the spa then a hospital having a baby! The sound machine she set up for me so I wouldn't hear everything was a huge bonus.  Even her voice was a sense of comfort for me. She was also my voice when I couldn't speak and made sure all the resources we had discussed previously that I might want during delivery were available to me. 
Afterwards she stayed with us to make sure my wishes were carried out, nursing was going well and that we had everything we needed. Then she continued to text me to make sure my postpartum care was going well. Kim came to my house and offered more support, answering questions and making sure my health and emotions were doing well. 
I will definitely be using Kim's doula services the next time, she was amazing. Worth every penny!! I'm so grateful for her.
