As first time parents making decisions around the birth of our baby felt like a big deal. Choosing Alyssa to be our doula was a very easy decision. From our initial discovery call she took the time to understand who we were and what we were hoping for and we felt at ease immediately. Her communication was clear, she was quick to respond when we had questions throughout my pregnancy, she provided us with information and helped facilitate discussions so we could be really clear about our birth wishes. She supported myself and my husband through a long labour and was able to make it feel like a special time just between him and I. Her knowledge and expertise helped guide us on when to reach out to our midwives and go to the hospital. We had a marathon labour and delivery and Alyssa was there through it all. She captured some beautiful photos of our baby’s birth and our first moments as a family - something we will never forget. We appreciate Alyssa and her being such an integral part of our story in becoming parents.

Our experience with Alyssa was excellent. We had complications during our pregnancy, and her communication before the birth made a real difference. She helped us understand what the doctors were telling us, gave us practical advice, and kept us calm during some genuinely scary moments.

During the birth she stayed calm and reassuring from start to finish. She’s also just an easy person to be around, fun and warm the whole time. When our baby finally arrived, she was every bit as thrilled as we were.

Choosing to have a doula was one of the best decisions we made, and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. We highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for support through their labour experience.
