We hired Esme as a postpartum doula to help us get some sleep during the first months with our newborn. As first-time parents, everything felt overwhelming. We were also a bit worried about having someone new in the house at night, but Esme made it feel easy from day one—we felt comfortable with her right away. Esme was honestly a lifesaver for us in those early months. We feel very lucky to have had her support. Our baby would often wake up crying at night and was hard to soothe, but Esme handled those moments with such calmness and confidence. She clearly knows how to work with newborns, and that’s not easy to find. Our daughter felt comfortable with her, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. What stood out the most was how calm she stayed, even during more intense moments. That calm presence really helped our baby settle much faster. We would absolutely recommend Esme to any new parents—she makes a huge difference, both for the baby and for your own sanity and sleep.

Esme took care of our baby overnight for five nights while I was visiting my parents in Seattle, and I highly recommend her! She was professional and sympathetic. She took amazing care of our baby who woke up multiple times a night. I appreciated the detailed notes she sent every morning about our baby’s overnight wakes, feeds, diapers, etc. Knowing our baby was in safe hands let us finally get a full night’s rest!

I can’t say enough about the gift Esmé was to our family. My wife and I welcomed twins while also caring for a 2-year-old, and Esmé seamlessly entered our home with a calm, grounding presence. She was a quiet, yet deeply reassuring support, helping us navigate our many questions and tending thoughtfully to our needs as postpartum parents. Without judgment, she skillfully supported and guided the care of both our newborns and our toddler. We are incredibly grateful for the care she provided our family during such a tender time. As a Parent Educator, I’ve known Esmé for years and have had many opportunities to witness her work with infants and families across a wide range of settings. She brings a rare combination of calm presence, deep empathy, and attentiveness to the emotional needs of both infants and caregivers.
