I cannot say enough wonderful things about my doula! From the very beginning, she provided incredible support, compassion, and knowledge that truly shaped my birth experience. She was with me every step of the way — from comforting home visits to offering guidance during labor.

I gave birth during COVID, and the hospital would not allow her inside. Despite that, she stayed on FaceTime with me the entire time, offering constant encouragement, reassurance, and direction. Her presence, even virtually, made such a powerful difference. I never once felt alone.

She took the time to listen to my concerns, answer every question, and advocate for my needs. Her support continued after birth as well, with check-ins that helped me adjust and feel confident as a new mom.

If you’re looking for a doula who goes above and beyond, truly cares, and shows up for you in every way possible—even in the most challenging circumstances—I wholeheartedly recommend her. She was an essential part of my birth story, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Emily helped me with my very first child back in 2020. She was absolutely delightful from start to finish from the meetings that we would have where she would discuss the exercises I needed to do in order to prepare and open my cervix for a smooth delivery, while also being very attentive to my wants and needs. in the beginning, we would sit at places like Starbucks or Zaxby's and just write out a list of things that I knew that I wanted. Such as which lotions and oils i wanted to use on my body during the contraction process and the sounds/music, i wanted to have playing to keep me as calm as possible. whatever my preference was, Emily was on it! She was very direct. She was very honest! Emily had one goal in mind and that was to make sure not only myself but my baby girl were healthy!

Mama Mpenzi Doula Services 10/10. Prior to using Mama Mpenzi, I experienced a placenta abruption carrying twins. At 28wks & 5ds, my twins were born via cesarean section.  After I confirmed my pregnancy  5 years later Mama Mpenzi was first on my list. Throughout the entire 38wks & 6ds. We met on numerous occasions. I remember we even met at a local park. Once my water broke I called Mama Mpenzi she didn't hang up until she walked through the hospital door. From push to delivery she talked me through every contraction.  She walked with me to every position. 
With out Mama Mpenzi I would not have been able to experience this life changing experience. The love and compassion she displayed made every moment phenomenal
