Lydia was an incredibly helpful and kind doula. We had two prenatal visits during which she really took the time to understand my needs. We talked about my “dream” labour and delivery, and she showed me different massage techniques so I could discover which ones I felt most comfortable with.
When I started labouring, it was easy to reach out to her, and she arrived at the hospital right away. When the midwife said I wasn’t ready to be admitted to the labour and delivery room yet, she encouraged me, and we went for walks and did exercises to help the baby move down. Lydia also provided comforting massages during my contractions and guided me through breathing exercises, which helped my labour progress more consistently.
Her calm presence, care, and gentle reminders to breathe were incredibly supportive and helped me have a beautiful birth. She also documented a detailed birth timeline, allowing us to remember and cherish all the lovely moments of the experience. I am so grateful to have had Lydia as my doula, and I will happily recommend her to friends and family.
