I chose Nicole fairly late into my pregnancy after hearing that having a doula can increase your chances of achieving an unmedicated birth. I didn’t use a doula for my first birth and worried I wouldn’t find the right person in time. But after my first phone call with Nicole, I felt good moving forward.

She took the time to understand my previous birth experience and gather detailed information about my goals so she could tailor her support to exactly what I needed. I also appreciated that she offered different service packages based on each family’s needs and birth history.

Throughout my third trimester, Nicole consistently checked in with me. As my OB appointments became weekly, I would update her, and she always responded with great research-backed information and reassurance.

I went overdue but still hoped for spontaneous labor. Rather than creating fear or pressure, Nicole calmly explained my options. She gave me peace of mind that nothing was wrong simply because I was overdue. I ultimately delivered at 41w 5d after choosing to do a light membrane sweep, which helped early labor progress.

During my six-hour labor, Nicole provided incredible physical and emotional support to both me and my husband. She suggested position changes, offered comfort measures, and guided my husband in how he could best help me. Through every contraction, they were both right there. I never felt alone, and my fear never completely overtook me because of their steady presence and encouragement.

I gave birth vaginally to an 11 lb 10 oz baby completely unmedicated. It will remain as one of my proudest moments. After my previous birth, I left feeling discouraged because I hadn’t achieved my goal of an unmedicated delivery. This time, I left feeling empowered and deeply aware of what my body was capable of. Nicole played a huge role in supporting me to get there!
