Hiring Lucinda was the best decision my husband and I could have made! From the very beginning, she was very communicative and informative, and she always came to prenatal meetings prepared and ready with lots of resources for my husband and I to look over and execute.

When it came time for labor, Lucinda was an absolute legend in the labor and delivery room with me. She was right there the whole time guiding me through each contraction, and helping my husband to help me in the best possible way. She came as soon as we called, and she well prepared with all of her gadgets. Her soft voice helped to ease a lot of the anxiety I was feeling during active labor, and she made sure to flow with me instead of telling me what to do. 

I would highly recommend hiring Lucinda if you are in search of a passionate, well informed doula who will advocate for what you want and need!

Choosing Lucinda as my birth doula was hands down one of the best decisions I made! I cannot recommend her highly enough if you want to feel empowered during your birth experience and supported through an inherently unpredictable process. As a first-time mom, I partnered with Lucinda based on a gut feeling that her calm presence and positivity would help carry me through labor— that instinct could not have been more right. From our first call, she made it clear her role was to support my goals. I never felt pressured and always felt safe sharing how I envisioned my experience.

During our prenatal conversations, Lucinda thoughtfully walked me through the stages of labor and the medications that might be offered, which made a huge difference in helping me feel prepared. In an unexpected twist, my water broke the day we were supposed to meet, and I went into preterm labor! Lucinda came straight to the hospital and stepped in seamlessly, already aligned with my goals of delaying the epidural and using grounding techniques.

In the hospital, she empowered me to make informed decisions, shared grounding mantras to calm me down, and introduced positioning techniques (even bringing helpful “props”) to manage discomfort. She included my husband in the process, making the experience feel more connected and even joyful! One of my nurses commented on how exceptional Lucinda was—specifically her ability to collaborate with, rather than challenge, the hospital team while still advocating for me and helping me make informed decisions. Multiple nurses remarked on her professionalism, presence, and collaborative spirit—and were shocked to learn I was her first client. Overall, Lucinda is a rare combination of calming presence, knowledgeable guide, and strong yet respectful advocate. I am so grateful she was part of my birth experience and will definitely be choosing her again as my birth doula in the future!
