I have a special interest in helping couples bond through the birth experience. My goal is always to make you and your birth partner feel like you made the best team and couldn't have done it without each other. I do this by knowing when to step up and when to step back. Also by teaching comfort techniques both in prenatal appointments and in the moment during labor. And tending to your primary birth partner so they stay fresh, confident in their ability to assist, and rested throughout the process. I am also a foster parent to teens, and have a strong heart for single mothers, and those whose plan is to give their baby up for adoption. I share in the Christian faith, so for those looking for a Christian doula that can also support them spiritually through childbirth and postpartum please let me know. I can pray and worship through labor with you, helping you gain strength for the task ahead through the strength that comes from God. I bring that aspect of care in by request, so let me know in your inquiry if that is something you want or are interested in. I am in network with Carrot and can bill Medicaid.

Absolutely made my experience way better. Even though I had an emergency c section the stress levels were very low with her support. She held my hands through contractions, talked me and my bf through all the stress of everything. And absolutely went above and beyond supporting me. Got me almost everything I would need for the baby, including stroller, car seat, tons of baby clothing , baby bag, soap, ect. I could not have done this without her. She was the most supportive person I've ever met. I can't say enough good things about this woman. You are extremely lucky if you get to experience your birth with Grace. I went in terrified and she let me come out of this confident and determined to be the best.

Grace is the most intuitive person I've known! She is gentle in spirit, but passionate in her work and it shows! Grace is quick to know when there's a need and to help. She made sure things were being done how I'd want them and spoke up for me when I wasn't able to. She attended 3 out of 5 of my births and every single birth present different needs, but she intuitively knew what to do. . She has helped set up for my birth when my labor progressed rapidly, and arrived before my midwife did. She has provided emotional support when I was panicking. For my last birth, I had invited my oldest daughters(9, and 7) to watch my birth, the birth ended up having some complications. She helped keep my daughters focus on how beautiful the baby was and that the midwife was taking care of her. After the birth she came over and helped my process all that had happened. Having someone else being able to recall events that happened during birth was invaulable. I always felt the need to process the birth by talking to someone who was there about it. There's so much I could say about graces duola work and how incredible it was to have her there. I feel so grateful she was apart of my birth team!

Grace was extremely helpful after the arrival of our fourth baby.  Having extra hands to keep up with the daily tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up is, of course, a huge gift.  However, Grace provides care that is absolutely priceless.  In addition to filling in the practical gaps so that I could focus on letting my body heal and bonding with baby, Grace attended to my emotional needs, lending a listening ear and gently encouraging me as I navigated postpartum hormones.  She made sure I was always well-nourished with nutrient-dense food, plenty of water, and time for rest.  Grace has an incredible ability to integrate into our home seamlessly, taking notice of what would be helpful to do each day without ever feeling like an awkward presence.  I felt completely comfortable retreating to my room to rest while she worked around the house (all while wearing my baby!). Not only is she efficient, but she does a quality job in every task that she sets out to accomplish.  Whether it be folding heaps of clothes, playing with my big kids, attending to the baby, or sharing a cup of tea with me and my tears, Grace brought peace and calm into our fourth trimester chaos.  When our time together came to a close, she had made me feel equipped and ready to handle our new normal.  I will forever by grateful for her support in this season!

I am a father of six, and Grace has been present for five of the births. Having a baby can be a scary and stressful experience. Grace is exceptionally helpful in ways you don’t even realize you might need beforehand. She was great at stepping in when we needed extra hands for my wife during labor and also knew when to step back without being told. Her personality was a perfect fit for all our births, helping to alleviate stress and working well with the other family members present. She has great energy and works quickly. For one of the births, I was in a fog, and without much direction, she set up the pool, prepared the beds, and handled much more before I even realized those tasks needed to be done.

Grace is so uniquely equipped to be just who you need for both the intensities and and the joys of a birth journey. She has been an essential addition to my birth team, four times! The way she knows exactly where to step in and offer physical and emotional support is such a gift--birth-pool-filling, bed-making, counter pressure, hip-squeezes, giving the exact support needed at different stages of labor, with confidence, compassion, and a great sense of humor. She has so many creative ways to give physical support, and helping navigate inner struggles and hang-ups throughout labor. She especially has worked seamlessly with my husband and midwives to support them in their roles. My husband has been freed up to my husband without the pressure of doing everything all at once!

Even our conversations leading up to birth, about hopes and goals for the birth, ways she can support and encourage, have been such a helpful part of preparing mentally and emotionally. She has also been a calm and effective support post-partum, with her magic cozy intuition for newborns, toddlers, and bigger kids alike. I recommend everyone to have a doula at their birth, home, birth center, or hospital, and Grace is the Dream Doula!

Grace has genuinely been the support I didn't know I needed. In preparation for birth, she was readily available to answer questions, listen to my woes and encourage me regularly. When time came for delivery, she jumped to all the things that I just didn't have brain space for but had experessed desire for, such as, music, lighting, searching for and sending my birth wishes. The best gift has been her ongoing care and support for me through the postpartum period. I wish I had had her for all my previous births!

I loved having Grace at my birth. She was an invaluable support.

She attended my third birth (second home birth).

My births are long: 12 hours active labor at the shortest, and have a long transition time as my babies navigate my small-ish pelvis. So having the right support team is really important so I don't feel stressed or watched.

Grace is so good at reading a room and knowing when to step in. She came armed with supplies, and knew just when to offer a honey stick or broth or electrolytes to keep my strength up and keep me hydrated.

She offered excellent counter pressure/support for my hips and back labor. She cares deeply for birthing partners, and her presence and support made my husband more able to be there for me. Before having a doula, I worried that having one would come between my husband and I, and he would feel like an outside observer, but I was wrong. Having a doula helped him support me even better.

If you're considering hiring Grace, I highly recommend that you do.

Grace attended my 5th child's birth.  She has a calm and good humor that suited me and magic hands.  I don't know how she knew, but she applied pressure where and when it was needed and her hands were cool when I needed cool and warm when I needed warm.  I was very grateful to have her on the team that night!
