I am SO glad I hired Aurora and will recommend her to everyone I know that is looking for a Doula. Immediately when I met her I could sense her calming, kind energy. She met with me to talk about preferences and feelings going into the birth, and was available to talk/answer any questions that I had leading up to the big day. Then when that day came she was constantly by my side. As soon as a contraction would hit, Aurora was there, supporting me, making me feel calm, and easing the pain with gentle touch and calm energy. She knew what to do and helped me with whatever I needed. I could always count on her the second I felt a contraction coming on. I 100% think my birth story would have gone differently if she hadn't been there. I don't know how often women get to say that their birth story went exactly according to plan with all their wishes met, but I do! I am eternally grateful to Aurora and she will always have a special place in our hearts. If we choose to have another I will without a doubt be hiring her again!

We were referred to Aurora by our original postpartum doula, for additional postpartum support after an unexpected C-section.

As first-time parents, we were in the thick of the newborn trenches with no family nearby to help out -- and we were struggling. Aurora responded promptly and professionally to my initial inquiries, so we decided to pull the trigger and set up a visit. As soon as Aurora walked into our place, her peaceful presence calmed my frazzled nerves and I could finally relax after endless nights with little sleep. Honestly, her visits were like being in an oasis in the desert! Her gentle "how can I help?" was genuine and she worked quietly and thoroughly on anything we needed that day -- naps, diapering baby / bringing him to me for nursing, washing dishes, starting laundry/dishes, watching baby while we showered. She also answered all of our anxious new parent Qs clearly and patiently (we had so many!). I also appreciated that when she made me fried eggs one morning she insisted on cleaning the pan before she left (even though it meant that she went a little over time!).

I am so grateful for Aurora's support during those early days and strongly recommend her postpartum doula services to any parents looking for their own "oasis in the desert" postpartum. (We would also definitely book her again should we have a second little one). Thank you, Aurora!

Aurora supported my partner and I through a very difficult time in postpartum. We were in need of support over a several week-long period and was so supportive and kind to our baby and us. She helped us stay afloat as I was preparing to go back to work and my partner was still limited physically after birth. Having Aurora present in our home with our baby took a great amount of stress of our shoulders and we are still very thankful to her to this day.

Aurora helped my family as a night doula. 
I needed more time to heal and more physical assist after delivering my 9.5 pound daughter, and my spouse needed a full night sleep to keep up with our toddler. The investment in Aurora's night services were SO WORTH IT. I healed exponentially faster with her help. She cared for my daughter in a quiet room and brought her to me when hungry, changed diapers and sat with me while breast feeding to assist when I couldn't help but nod off. She is a trusted and gifted resource to this community. If you're struggling to get through a rough patch this postpartum season and just need a night or two to reset call Aurora.

Having Aurora as my doula was hands down the best decision I made. She was there for both my husband and I & our baby through the whole process. Aurora made us feel so comfortable & at ease with such a life changing experience. She is a very kind, sweet & loving person & very easy to get along with. When it comes time to upholding your wishes on your birth plan she will stick up for you with the healthcare professionals, while you can focus on bringing your baby into the world. She gave so much respect to the very special moment. She was not in the way of the two of us becoming three. In fact, she enhanced the moment by handling questions from the doctor while my husband & I got the first few moments with our son. It was amazing to have someone in our corner. I will 100% recommend her & I will be using her again once baby #2 is on the way.
