Kjerstin was such an asset to our home the first few weeks home from the hospital! She eased the transition to first-time parenthood with her warm and calming presence, and I don’t know what we would have done without her support. She made us home cooked meals, allowed us to nap, and overall eased the burden during those early sleep-deprived weeks. From adjusting breastfeeding positions to ease neck pain to showing how to use a pump, she was available to address all questions big and small. She was even willing to make an exception and leave her own young boys to do an overnight session, providing much needed guidance on our nighttime feeding routine.
Kjerstin genuinely takes such joy in looking after babies and brought such comfort to our newborn. We feel so lucky to have had her be part of such a profound period of our lives and recommend her wholeheartedly to other families seeking someone with a lighthearted approach and sense of humor!

My husband and I are very glad we hired Kjerstin as our doula. If we're pregnant again in NYC, she will be one of the first people we call to ask to help again!
This was our first pregnancy, and Kjerstin was the perfect mixture of informative & reassuring. Our prenatal meeting in our home was thorough and included very helpful hands-on labor techniques and breathing. These were great to have in our toolkit during early labor, before we called her in to the hospital.
She was also helpful throughout pregnancy in recommending various resources - through her recommendations, I received great virtual pelvic floor PT to help with pubic pain in the third trimester.
When (to our surprise) I was induced at 37 weeks, Kjerstin was ready to come into the hospital whenever we decided we wanted her support. In the labor & delivery room, she was invaluable in helping my husband support me. She was unobtrusive, ever-encouraging, helped with hands-on comfort measures & position changes, and had a calm, steady presence. When we decided on various interventions, she helped remind us of questions to ask and of the priorities we had previously shared with her. She was very knowledgeable, yet content to let my husband & I be the decision-makers. No matter what turns my labor took, she was fully supportive of each new decision.
We are deeply grateful for Kjerstin's support during such a vulnerable, novel life event. Her warmth, calm professionalism, and depth of knowledge were so beneficial.
From one mom to another, I heartily recommend you reach out and get to know her on a virtual intro call to decide if she'd be a good fit for you.

Kjerstin was my postpartum doula for almost two months after the birth of my first child. Her support was invaluable during this transition, and the first few weeks with a newborn would have been much more challenging without her help.
Kjerstin provided excellent advice, practical recommendations, and helpful resources tailored to my specific needs and circumstances. Kjerstin was reliable, flexible, caring, and incredibly kind. She was always ready to help, whether I needed guidance with newborn care, emotional support, or reassurance during the ups and downs of the postpartum period. Her knowledge and encouragement gave me confidence as a new mother and made a meaningful difference in my recovery and adjustment to parenthood.
I highly recommend Kjerstin to any family looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate postpartum doula.
