Donna is the consummate professional, passionate and serious about all aspects of her doula role while leading with empathy and her heart at all times. Donna has many other strengths. She knows how to flex to situations in real time, she is unflappable in the most emotional settings and because she has become an extension of our family, she never ceases to amaze me with the beautiful way she engages people of all backgrounds and ages no matter the setting. She is not afraid to take the initiative to learn what is important to her and goes out of her way to create an environment that aligns with the needs and wishes of those around her. 

?My husband and I initially engaged with Donna to be our night doula for four months. We then extended her contract for almost two years on a regular full-time basis and we continue to engage with her to support our family for events and family gatherings. 

Donna is a gem for any family. She is a trusted partner and an exceptional resource for how to care for children (and parents!) of all ages. Any family who engages Donna for doula support will be fortunate to have her as an extension of their family.

When I was pregnant a second time, this time with my son, I knew I couldn’t get through those newborn months without doula support! As before, Donna was incredibly responsive to my needs and put me in touch with Marianella. While pregnant, I spoke with Marianella on the phone and we connected immediately on what I needed help on - specifically, sleep training my son so he could sleep independently. Marianella came to support us when my son was 4 weeks old and immediately connected with him. She has a wealth of newborn knowledge and created a personalized daytime/nighttime eating & sleeping schedule. With her guidance and support, my son thrived and before she left, he was fully sleep trained - 12 hours of sleep during the night with no nighttime feeds whatsoever!

All the doulas I’ve interacted with are extremely warm, knowledgeable, and clearly have a deep passion for what they do. I’ve honestly never had a bad experience with a doula from Newborn Nurtury and across both of my children, I’ve had 13 different doulas from Newborn Nurtury stay the night at my home. I’ll forever be grateful to each one of them and especially Donna for connecting me with these amazing women and for watching my son overnight as well. She always responds promptly, answers questions fully, and was incredibly generous with her time when watching my son. Donna would even arrive earlier on some nights to allow me to go to sleep sooner when I was completely exhausted! I can only imagine how much more challenging my newborn experience would have been (both times!) without doula support. If you’re on the fence about hiring a doula, I encourage you to pick up the phone and call Donna. I’m so very glad I did!
