Harmony was an essential part of my birth experience and I am truly grateful for her exceptional care. I thought a doula was something that might be cool to have but I wasnt 100% sure I needed one, after my experience with Harmony im completely sold. Im telling everyone who will listen how important she was to my birth. If I ever give birth again I will have a doula, I wish it could be Harmony but she recently moved across the country. Im pretty sure it will be hard to find anyone as talented and special as her.

Harmony was there for me from the moment I needed her and responded quickly in the middle of the night. She was with me for 24 hours. She immediately changed the ambiance of the hospital room, bringing the lights down, playing music, aromatherapy, and  twinkle lights. She advocated for me every step of the way and made sure that my voice was heard, and that I had time to process descisions. She cheered me on and shared her deep strength with me.

Perhaps most memorably she used her gifted hands to provide SO MUCH pain relief, she is incredibly talented at hip squeezes and provided them for hours on end helping me to get to 7cm unmedicated which was very fulfilling for me. I think it must have been an athletic feat for her but the didnt show it, she only showed strength and calm and support.

If you are considering using Harmony as your doula, do it. She will care for you well and deeply. I had a very positive birth experience despite some challenges like prolonged (4.5 hours) pushing, an infection and fever during labor and baby passing and aspirating miconium (hes ok!) I credit a lot of my positive expirience to Harmony.
