From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I knew exactly who I wanted to be in the room supporting us, and that was Alexa. I also knew I wanted to do a hospital unmedicated birth, and I understood that navigating that in a hospital setting was going to be tricky. But right from the start, Alexa made me feel confident that I could achieve my birth goals, no matter the challenges.

What stood out most was Alexa's calm and compassionate demeanor. She was always patient, never rushed, and made me feel like I was her top priority. During labor, she was a rock, providing not just emotional support but physical comfort too. From breathing techniques to gentle massage, I felt incredibly cared for.

One of the things I appreciated most was how she reminded me gently during labor that I didn’t have to try the positions the doctor was pushing on me if they didn’t feel right. She helped me stay connected to my own body and trust my instincts, which made a huge difference when things got intense.

After labor, things took an unexpected turn when the doctors suggested that my baby should go to the NICU. My husband and I were in a whirlwind of emotions, and that’s when Alexa stepped in. She asked all the right questions, giving us the clarity we needed when we were feeling overwhelmed. The doctor said I couldn’t leave to see my baby in the other unit, but Alexa wasn’t having it. She advocated for me, pushed back, and helped me get cleaned up and ready. She even convinced the nurse to let me get to my baby sooner than we thought possible, which meant the world to me during that stressful time.
