We were so happy that we hired Elise to help with our birth. We really had no idea what to expect and she really helped us understand the process, make informed choices, and feel prepared to respond to the experience as it evolved. She was patient and kind in helping us in the months leading up to the birth of our daughter, and was an invaluable source of calm in the room with us. Elise is a combination of deeply compassionate and warm and firm in her advocacy for you - a combination that was just the right fit for us. I struggle with self-advocacy and my partner hates medical stuff, so having someone in the room always checking to make sure my wishes were being solicited and respected was critical. I can't even (and don't want to) imagine that experience without her support. Elise has also been wonderful in the postpartum period, checking in with us in the week after we came home and offering her continued support since.

Elise was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better doula. She taught us so much, helped calm a lot of our nerves, and made us feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience. She always seemed to know exactly what we needed in the moment.
