 I can confidently say that hiring Elise was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our family. In both of our eyes, we truly believe we had the beautiful, successful, and redemptive VBAC experience we did because of Elise.

Elise stepped up for me and my family during an incredibly vulnerable and difficult time. At 41 weeks pregnant, I unexpectedly found myself without the original doula I had planned to have. I was scared, overwhelmed, and desperately trying to find someone willing to take me on so late in pregnancy.

Then came Elise. She picked up the phone immediately and was nothing but kind, calm, reassuring, and sweet throughout the entire process. From the moment she stepped in, she made me feel supported, heard, and cared for. She showed up for me when I needed someone most, and I will never forget that.

I genuinely believe Elise played an enormous role in my successful VBAC and the beautiful birth experience I had. Her support meant the world not only to me but also to my husband. Having someone so knowledgeable, compassionate, encouraging, and steady in your corner makes a difference that is hard to put into words.

I truly believe every woman should consider having a doula, whether it’s their first baby or tenth. Birth is such a significant and vulnerable experience, and having someone like Elise by your side is invaluable.

If you’re considering hiring a doula, I cannot recommend Elise enough. We will forever be grateful for her and the role she played in bringing our daughter into the world. ??

We were so happy that we hired Elise to help with our birth. We really had no idea what to expect and she really helped us understand the process, make informed choices, and feel prepared to respond to the experience as it evolved. She was patient and kind in helping us in the months leading up to the birth of our daughter, and was an invaluable source of calm in the room with us. Elise is a combination of deeply compassionate and warm and firm in her advocacy for you - a combination that was just the right fit for us. I struggle with self-advocacy and my partner hates medical stuff, so having someone in the room always checking to make sure my wishes were being solicited and respected was critical. I can't even (and don't want to) imagine that experience without her support. Elise has also been wonderful in the postpartum period, checking in with us in the week after we came home and offering her continued support since.

Elise was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better doula. She taught us so much, helped calm a lot of our nerves, and made us feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience. She always seemed to know exactly what we needed in the moment. We’re so grateful she was part of such an important day for our family. If you’re looking for a doula, work with Elise!
