For clients with Medi-Cal, I attend home births when a licensed midwife is present. This aligns with my scope of practice and the requirements for Medi-Cal coverage. For self-pay clients, I am honored to support all home births, regardless of provider presence.

My journey as a doula has been deeply rooted in community and connection. I received my training through Parenting Connection of Monterey County, where I built a strong foundation in compassionate, culturally rooted care. Today, I continue to serve families not only through my doula work, but also as the Executive Director of Kween’s Kounsel—a space dedicated to uplifting and empowering black birthing people—and as the Board Secretary for The Birth Network of Monterey County, where I help advocate for better birth experiences in our local community.
