We had such a great experience with Rachael and would highly recommend her, especially to first-time parents. She was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and made us feel so comfortable and confident caring for our newborn.

Rachael went above and beyond just caring for the baby. She taught us how to bathe him, use our baby carriers, and helped with breastfeeding. She also worked with us on things we wanted to improve, like getting him to nap in his bassinet, and gave us practical tips that made a big difference.

She was always on time and responsive, and was incredibly helpful around the house without ever needing to be asked like washing bottles and pump parts, moving laundry, and taking care of all the little things that made our days easier. We are so grateful for her support during those early weeks and would recommend her without hesitation!

Rachael was so incredible for our birth, I really can't say enough great things.  If you are thinking of a Doula, absolutely recommend.  And when looking for someone who is down-to-earth, calming and great sense of humor, and really knows her stuff, Rachael is who you want to go for.  My husband and I got in contact with Rachael late in our pregnancy. She came over to our house for a prenatal visit where we discussed our birth preferences.  Rachael is so knowledgable we learned a lot. I loved being able to text her questions as things came up, and it was nice to have someone to update on our last few prenatal visits with our doctor.  Things did not go as we planned for the birth, I ended up being admitted for an unplanned induction that went on a few days before we decided to move forward with a C-Section.  Rachael was with us (via text) for the first few days and then came to the hospital and was with us for the last 18 hours.  She was responsive to our needs, didn't take it personally when I had my husband ask her to wait in the waiting room so we could have a private conversation.  She took pictures of our baby's birth, stayed with my husband while I was getting prepped for surgery (he said this was so, so helpful in calming his nerves). She went to post-op recovery with us and made sure we were all settled, and left when we went up to the postpartum unit. She stayed in touch via text over the next week or so and came over for a postnatal visit once we were home.  

An intangible support Rachael provided was someone for us to talk to during this whole processot only about the medical side and making decsions, but she really supported us emotionally.  We needed someone to be able to talk to and make light of a very stressful situation and Rachael provided that support. We are so very grateful and will be using Rachael in the future if we have a second child.

We met Rachael when we got to the hospital when I was in labor! Our main doula couldn't make it, so Rachael stepped in. She was so calm and we felt comfortable right away, despite meeting her in the midst of labor. She brought a very peaceful presence to the room and was very helpful in the hour after birth as well, with helping initiate breastfeeding and talking through what just happened and what to expect next! We definitely enjoyed working with her!

Rachael helped me achieve the birth experience I had been preparing for. From the first meeting, I knew she'd be the right person to help me and my husband bring our son into the world. She understood my vision and goals for unmedicated, low/no intervention birth. She gave me great resources while also making me feel like what I was trying to do was possible. We had great correspondence during my pregnancy and I always felt she was accessible if I needed. As we got closer, we talked more often and with our first in person meeting, I again felt completely comfortable with her, as did my husband. When the big day arrived, she was prompt and ready to go. My active labor & transition came quite quickly and having Rachael's presence there was such a big help. She kept reminding me to relax my body, she offered different positions and worked with my husband and nurses to help me feel safe and supported. She provided a constant, calm. Also, my husband and I are so happy we did an after birth in home visit. As first time parents, it's so overwhelming to bring baby home. It was just amazing to have someone who is experienced to come in and answer all the questions we had at home. She helped us understand how to use some products we had and just helped us overall feel more confident. No question was off limits. If you're wishing for an unmedicated birth, I firmly believe a doula is a must, and Rachael is someone anyone would be lucky to have next to them during labor and delivery and beyond. I am so thankful for her.

I had a great experience working with Rachael! She was a great resource for all of the questions I had during my pregnancy and first few days postpartum. From the beginning she assured me that her goal as a doula was to support me no matter what my birth ended up looking like, and was unfazed that I had some complications and a challenging delivery with my previous pregnancy. I ended up going into labor in the middle of the night and she arrived promptly at the hospital and helped me manage my pain until I got an epidural and help know when to push. Overall I had a very smooth birth experience and Rachael's support gave me peace of mind throughout the whole process!

Rachael, in a word, is outstanding. Her professionalism, knowledge, kindness, warmth, and skill are unmatched, and she was an absolute joy to work with. Her ability to comfort my wife and get her to a place where she was mentally, physically, and emotionally able to undergo a smooth and uncomplicated vaginal birth was an absolute Godsend. Rachael was an incredible support for us after the birth of our first child.  She provided hands-on teaching to help us navigate those early days with a newborn - everything from feeding to bathing to organizing our nursery. She was a tremendous resource and having her help allowed us to get much needed rest and avoid being overwhelmed. Rachael took such good care of our daughter and was an absolute pleasure to have as part of our journey as new parents. Would not hesitate to recommend!

I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough. From the very first meeting, she made me feel heard, supported, and completely confident in my birth choices. Her knowledge, calm presence, and unwavering encouragement were invaluable throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

During labor, she was an absolute anchor—offering comfort measures, gentle guidance, and reassurance exactly when I needed it most. She knew when to step in with suggestions and when to simply be a steady, calming presence. Because of her, I felt empowered, informed, and never alone during one of the most intense and meaningful experiences of my life.

If you are looking for a doula who is compassionate, professional, and truly invested in your well-being and birth experience, I wholeheartedly recommend her. Having her by my side was one of the best decisions I made for my birth.
