I had my first baby in August 2025 and had to be induced early due to medical complications. As someone who struggles with anxiety—especially around the unknown—I knew I wanted a doula who could help me feel informed, empowered, and confident through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I had a high-risk pregnancy with gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, and eventually severe preeclampsia, so finding someone with a strong medical background was incredibly important. Working with Lauren was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
From the start, Lauren offered reassurance, guidance, and exceptional communication. She helped me understand what to expect at every stage—doctor appointments, triage visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum recovery. She never pushed anything on us; instead, she explained all our options clearly, outlined pros and cons, and walked us through best practices in modern medicine. This helped us make confident, informed decisions that felt right for our family. She also supported my husband every step of the way. Lauren made him feel prepared and involved, giving him the tools and confidence to support me before, during, and after birth. She was the absolute best to work with and would recommend her a thousand times.

Lauren is a reliable support person who I was lucky enough have support me as both my L&D nurse and my postpartum night doula. As a first time Mom, I was so grateful to have a seasoned mother and nurse supporting me in some hard times with a preemie newborn. She is fully vaccinated, which was a good fit for our family. She also works at the hospital so she's extremely skilled and knowledgeable on all things for Mom and baby, and updated on the ever-changing medical recommendations. Outside of her nurse skills, she's a positive, lovely person you'd be lucky to welcome into your home. She would go above and beyond, doing our laundry and cuddling our pup. If we had a bigger budget for doula services, we would have kept her on for a few more months!
