Post a testimonial for Heather Wamsley

It's really hard to put into words Heathers involvement in my prenatal and labor journey during my 3rd pregnancy.
During my first two birth journeys, I felt unsupported. So I was looking for very specific support when searching for a doula.
Heather went above and beyond my expectations from her. She supported me completely prenatally. During each appointment I felt really heard and seen as a pregnant person. I'm a birth doula myself and it was so cool to learn so much more from Heather.
There were some visits together where I was able to open up about my anxieties and others where I was feeling so confident and able to just relax and enjoy her bodywork. Her bodywork helped me specifically with some lower back pain I was having and pressure points towards the end of pregnancy.
Heather can provide research and direct you in the right direction for any of your ideas or visions.
I loved that I could ask her about her birth knowledge from other cultures and she can honor different ideas/religions based on her training and experience.
She also included my partner in this journey and passed along information to him that helped him be even more supportive prenatally and postpartum
During my labor, she was a constant I really needed. My partner had me really well supported in the birth tub with hip squeezes but there was something missing. When Heather arrived she grabbed my hands over the birth tub and did not leave my side. As someone who is very modest, I felt completely comfortable going through all the stages and emotional ups and downs of active labor with Heather at my side feeling so loved and supported. She really listened to what I wanted in my labor during our chats prenatally.
When my little girl arrived, Heather didn't leave until I was clothed, comfortable, fed an amazingly nutritious meal and was well hydrated.

I hired Heather as my doula for the birth of my first child, and cannot recommend her service enough. Heather was an invaluable member of my birthing team and provided me with such wonderful care. Heather is not only extremely knowledgeable in her field, but is also incredibly kind, warm, and caring. She created a safe and trusting space for me to experience the many emotions I felt throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. Heather was also able to offer me many helpful suggestions and services to care for myself and baby, including but not limited to: massage, cranial sacral work for myself and baby, education around usage of herbs and other all natural supplements. If you have the option of hiring Heather to be on your team, I highly recommend doing so. I am forever grateful for her support in helping bring my son into this world.
