Sommer's help to us as first-time parents was invaluable. She patiently answered our many questions about caring for a newborn, and then she took the lead with helping us install a second car seat base, reorganizing our baby's room, and setting up my breast pump. We hadn't even planned to do the last two things with her but she saw that we needed help and she stepped right in to make herself useful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to other first-time parents!

I used Sommer to help me out after our first baby was born, just over a year ago. I wanted to make sure I would have someone incredibly qualified to help out with a newborn – just in case I needed it.

I met with Sommer before I even signed a contract, and from interaction number one, she was incredibly personable, helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I'm a pretty private person, and so I wanted to make sure I would feel comfortable with whoever I was going to let into my home during a very personal time. I wasn't even sure if I would need her help more for me or the baby, but I felt such a great connection and gentleness from her, that I knew she would be great for any of my needs.

When my baby came, I ended up instinctively knowing what to do and wanted to spend the first few weeks by myself bonding with my new baby girl, but Sommer was incredibly flexible with it all and let me know that she was available to help out whenever I decided I needed it.

I ended up having her come and watch our newborn after the first month so that I could get some sleep in, and she was absolutely magical. She kept the baby happy, while also helping out with chores around the house. She kept asking what else she could help out with. She talked me through what was going on with the baby in the beginning and helped keep me sane for the short time that I used her.

She was much more knowledgeable and nurturing than any babysitter could possibly be, and I would recommend using her for any of your baby (or mama) needs. She's amazing :).

Sommer was an angel - a legit post-partum angel.  She took care of my younger children while I recovered with my baby, playing with them so I could sleep, intuiting when I needed water or food or a check-in.  She did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and basically was a fairy godmother during a time when I felt so vulnerable.  She was unobtrusive but present, warm, soothing, and had a good sense of humor to boot.  I am so grateful for her help - she was easy to coordinate with in terms of times and dates and she also helped me with breastfeeding.  Thank you Sommer!

Sommer helped me after I had my 3rd baby, right as my older two finished the school year and were home for the summer. She did anything I asked for help with - from watching the kids while I ran errands, playing with the older two while I napped, mopping my floors to washing dishes. It was also nice to have another adult to talk to during the postpartum period when it can feel isolating. She was a very helpful and enjoyable resource as a new mom!

Sommer is the best! I don't know how we would have managed without her! We don't have family who live in town and when my husband went back to work after a week I was so stressed about how I would manage with a newborn and three year old daughter to chase. Sommer coming into our lives was so amazing! She helped me prep dinners, folded  laundry, emptied/loaded the dishwasher and played with my daughter etc! It was wonderful to have an adult to talk with too as we weren't leaving the house much. Honestly this was what I looked forward to the most when I knew she was coming to visit. It was like having a best friend visit you and lend an ear AND a helping hand! My daughter still asks when Sommer will come over to play tag in the yard or do an art project. Sommer is so kind, patient and made me calmer when I felt like I might lose my mind! I really feel that having a post partum doula helped our whole family adjust to the new normal. Thank you Sommer!!
