Stephanie was our doula and I honestly couldn't have imagined having the birth without her presence and support. She stayed by my partners side throughout the duration of the birth which lasted 31 hours! Her approach is gentle and caring, Her personality is bubbly and warm and her knowledge is paramount. I don't know of anyone who is as passionate about what they do as her. This is obviously more than a job to her, it's her life's work. I can't thank her enough for the outstanding service she provided as well as her dedication to the labor. There are a lot of doulas in these parts but there is only one Stephanie Cawthorne in the world.

Stephanie was my Doula and she was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about her. I had been searching for a Doula for my third pregnancy and found her profile online. I made contact with her and she was fantastic from the start. She made me feel very comfortable, she has a very sweet nature and was very understanding and respectful of my wishes for the birth.

Throughout the pregnancy she stayed in contact with me, I attended a few of her birth classes that she hosted which were very informative. Whenever I had questions, and there were a lot of questions, she'd get back to me with information very quickly. She was super helpful and went above and beyond that expected of a Doula.

Stephanie, at the birth was a rock, she guided me, made suggestions, never judgemental with what I did or didn't want. Stayed with me for a few hours after the birth and then the following week visited me at home to check on how we were all doing.

My kids love her, she just has that sweet nature where she makes you feel comfortable and at ease, very relaxed. My husband thought she was fantastic too - she helped him be involved at the birth as he really felt like the spare wheel at the previous births where we hadn't had a Doula, Stephanie knew how to include him without being pushing.

If I ever needed a Doula again or knew someone that did, Stephanie would be top of the list. She's awesome!

Where to start with Mrs. Stephanie! Amazing just amazin.  We were pregnant with twin boys, and I found Steohanie through a friend referral. I knew I wanted a doula so when I moved back to Texas before my husband got out of the AF on September, I met with Steohanie. I felt alone and scared with just moving home and having a toddler abd high risk pregnancy. But my immediate reaction to her was to not be afraid and calming. We searched for an OB but our insurance stopped in September and so we had to search again  . I was a wreck but Stephanie was a champ. She researched and helped me through everything. Then we got the newS A was flipped breech and I cried. I was 36 weeks with twins so the probability was slim. Immensely slim. Stephanie didn't give up trying. We went to chiropractors, did different positions, and yoga balled for almost 4 weeks. Nothing. So a csection it was. I was scared but I wanted to at least go in to labor on my own. Stephanie advocated with me to my doctor and with the amazingly easy pregnancy I was having, the OB gave me the weekend. At 10 that night, I called her with a water breakage. She came to the hospital and she was amazing. She helped me breathe, walk, and even stayed through the surgery. This woman gave new meaning to having a csection. It was almost the same as having a vaginsl in the support department. I highly recommend her. I can't say enough praises for her!!

At first I was apprehensive about the whole thing we had already been through the birthing process so we new what to expect, or so I thought but I was wrong having twins with a csection was completely different from natural and if it wasn't for Steph I would have pulled my hair out she was a godsend at the time I didn't know we needed so pleas look into it might not be for everyone but they can help with so many things.

I used Stephanie as a doula for the birth of my first child.  Before I got pregnant, I knew very little about the birth process.  I began researching, and the more I read, the more I realized that I wanted a natural birth with the help of a doula.  I began my doula search late in my pregnancy, and first met with Stephanie around 35 weeks.  She shared my interest in research and provided me with many great resources.... books, articles, websites.  I was originally planning on a hospital birth with an OB/GYN, but as I progressed in my pregnancy, I saw a bigger disconnect between my goals and the goals of my doctor.Stephanie was very supportive during this difficult time and did not pressure me in any way but provided me with many options.  I ultimately decided to terminate care with my OB/GYN and transfer to a midwife.  I planned to deliver in the birth center instead of the hospital.  This was the best decision I could have made and I probably wouldn't have done it without Stephanie's support and encouragement.  When I went into labor, Stephanie came to my home to support me until I was ready to go to the birth center.  Her pain relief techniques and encouragement were so helpful.  Once we arrived at the birth center, my labor became very intense and she was at my side the entire time.  She helped me with each contraction, encouraging me, helping me with breathing, and using massage techniques to help relieve my pain.  Her help was absolutely instrumental in helping me achieve a natural, unmedicated birth. She took pictures (at my request) and surprised me with a wonderful slideshow/video.  She also met with me a week after the birth to give me support.  I would recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a birth doula. She was helpful, well-informed, and very supportive.
