Melissa was very supportive during my labor.

She helped to transition to different positions to help with the labor pains and to find ways to keep calm. I'm amazed how long she stayed up with my husband and I until the time to push baby out. She was also very understanding of my decision to do an epidural later when the induction became difficult and did not shame me for it. 

I would recommend her again for the next baby and am so grateful for her explaining what was happening during the whole labor and delivery process.

 PREGNANCY AND BEYOND...

Melissa is an incredible doula and truly a must hire for labor. I speak for myself having had both my 2 beautiful births with Melissa by my side, as well as my sister who's had all 3 of her births , along with the most beautiful, real, photos to capture the memories. Several of my friends have also utilized her doula services and can't say enough about how helpful she was for them. 

When I was pregnant with my second son, my husband told me "I hope you want Melissa as your doula as much as I do, or else I'm just hiring her for me cause she was my rock during the first birth".

You won't find someone more down to earth and comforting. Melissa has a genuine warmth that is so helpful in labor, and her knowledge and experience is extensive and nothing short of impressive. 

Informed Consent is truly the name of the game when it comes to labor and having that informed consent makes all the difference in having a birth that brings you peace , however that looks for you and your family. Melissa is an informed advocate during pregnancy and beyond. She is by no means making choices for you, she is simply there reminding you that you have them and checking in with you and what matters most to you.

Another great perk is with all her experience she has gained lots of helpful tips from post partum to breastfeeding. She truly is a resource I couldn't hav done without. 

If you're looking at her prices and experience thinking  "this is too good to be true" ... well it is and it's true. There is something both tangible and not about the way she supports you during labor, be it a double hip squeeze, coaching your partner, or even just the perfect words of encouragement when you need or most. Melissa really is an amazing doula  that makes all the difference in one of the most monumental, powerful moments of your life.

Melissa was our doula for the birth of our second child. Our meet and greet with her was wonderful - she took lots of time with us and answered all of our questions - and even brought up some things we didn't think to ask about. We didn't interview any other doulas, we just knew Melissa would be wonderful - and she was!

Our birth with our son was incredibly redemptive from the experience with our daughter (first child) and Melissa was there the whole time, offering gentle and warm support from the beginning of labor (over text) to active labor in the hospital and finally, she stayed and supported me when my baby and my husband had to leave unexpectedly for the NICU. We could not have asked for a better birth experience and we're so glad Melissa was a part of it!

Melissa did an amazing job as our doula. We wouldn't have had the smooth, even fun, experience we had without her encouragement, compassion, and knowledge. 

She was willing to be a last minute doula for me when I decided to attempt an unmedicated birth. With her unique ability to encourage mothers to push into the discomfort as well as her willingness to listen to what I needed in the moment, we were able to have a baby quickly and with as minimal pain as I could have imagined!

Melissa was our doula for our fourth child, second one at a local birth center. My mother died before I had my last three kids and sona doula served many roles during labor for me. Melissa was amazing. So intuitive. Really easy to work with, knew exactly what I needed in each moment of labor. She was all the things you could possiblybwant in a birth team. Never preachy or pushy, but knowledgeable, wise, and comfortable. She was supportive for my husband as well, met my other children. It was truly a joy to work with her and I would highly recommend her. She also took beautiful photos for us and I love having those memories as well! My birth experience was everything I wanted due to her support!

Having Melissa Stork as my doula for my labor and delivery was the best  decision I could have made.
Melissa is very knowledgeable, confident, and experienced in what she does. She knows when to call the shots, is always thinking three steps ahead, and encourages when needed. She's gentle, but direct. Calm, yet determined. And loving, even when we don't want to do what she says. But she knows best!

Melissa was there every step of the way, including months leading up to my labor starting. She is quick to answer questions I had, even researching if it's something we both were unsure of or didn't know about.  She always sent reminders and encouragement when she knew I was struggling emotionally, and checked in with me periodically. 
 Melissa is passionate about what she does and cares for each of her clients(babies included) and captures all the best moments of the most important day. If you're contemplating a doula, I highly recommend Melissa Stork??

Melissa is an amazing dula! She has such a calming presence, and is so knowledgeable! She knew exactly what positions I needed to be in and when I needed a break with both of my natural births. Her photography is beautiful done as well. can't recommend her enough!!

Having Melissa as our doula was one of the best decisions we made. Her calming presence brought so much peace and reassurance during one of the most intense and powerful moments of our lives. She supported us with such care and intuition, and helped us feel grounded and strong throughout the experience. The photos she took captured the raw, beautiful emotion of our baby’s birth moments we’ll hold close to our hearts forever. We are endlessly grateful for her.
