Veronica was an incredible source of support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. We started working with her early in pregnancy, and from the beginning she was calm, responsive, and invested in helping us feel prepared.

During pregnancy, we met several times and she taught us practical comfort measures we could use, including stretches, positioning, and hands-on techniques my husband could do to support me (hip squeezes, supported belly, etc.). She also helped me prepare postpartum kits and joined us for a meeting with our lactation consultant, which was so helpful. I always felt comfortable reaching out by text, especially after third-trimester appointments, and she consistently offered reassurance.

My labor was long and difficult (over 60 hours) and did not go as planned. Veronica was by my side through it all, offering encouragement, suggesting position changes and comfort measures, and helping me stay hydrated and nourished with small but meaningful things like water, ice, snacks and popsicles. She also did an amazing job supporting my husband by giving him clear, practical ways to help so he felt confident and involved throughout the process.

My birth ultimately ended in a C-section, which was not what we had envisioned, and Veronica continued to support us with care. She stayed with us through the surgical process, helped my husband understand what to expect before entering the OR, and when my husband and baby needed to go to the NICU for a period of time, she stayed with me so I was not alone.

After birth, Veronica checked on us frequently, especially while we were still in the hospital and visited once we were home. I am deeply grateful for her steady, compassionate presence through an intense and unpredictable experience. I would recommend Veronica wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a doula who is both practical and deeply supportive.

Veronica was the doula for the birth of our first child, and we couldn't imagine having done it without her. We had a very helpful check-in meeting with her prior to the birth, and it was such a relief when she met us at the hospital during the labor. Veronica was the main person making sure I stayed as comfortable and mentally present as I could during labor, and made sure I stayed informed as things progressed. She encouraged me so much when I felt discouraged. She also did a great job of guiding my husband through the process. The birth of our son was such a joyful experience, and Veronica was essential in helping things to turn out this way!

Veronica was my doula for the birth of my first child. As a first time mom, I did not know what to expect during delivery and it was incredibly helpful for my husband and I to have Veronica present. She did a great job sharing information, suggesting different techniques, and helping me advocate for myself. I would highly recommend working with Veronica.

Veronica was a wonderful doula for my labor and delivery.  I was reluctantly getting an induction and I was very discouraged about it.  Despite my bad attitude, Veronica kept a positive outlook and reminded me of the choices and options I had in the process.  She noticed that my mood improved when I was out of bed and moving around, so she encouraged me to stay on my feet when I could.  At one point the doctor seemed to want me to make a quick decision about how to proceed.  Veronica recognized that I was conflicted and advocated for me by asking if I wanted to take some more time to think about it.

When labor started getting intense Veronica was ready with the comfort measures we had discussed plus her own suggestions of labor positions to try.  My husband mostly helped with counter-pressure but Veronica was quick to step in when he needed relief.  Toward the end of labor when nothing helped and I wanted to give up, Veronica was a steady voice of encouragement reminding me that I could do it.  Finally, when everything was over, Veronica sent a great little set of photos that she somehow managed to take in the midst of everything.  I’m really grateful to have that handful of images to remember the experience.

Afterward I sort of apologized to my mother who had been there for the entire process also.  She is a former labor and delivery nurse and assisted with the births of her other grandchildren, but this time she ended up sitting on the sidelines somewhat.  My mom replied that Veronica did an phenomenal job so she was happy to step back and let Veronica take the lead.  Ultimately I was really pleased with this birth, and Veronica made a big difference in how things turned out.  I wish I could have had her as a doula for my previous child too!

Veronica was the doula for my daughter's second birth.  My daughter had so many questions and concerns about a medically recommended induction.  Veronica supported her in many ways including saying she could decide to just go home and not be induced if that was the choice she wanted.  My daughter chose to stay at the hospital and get a slow, minimal drip of pitocin.  When her bag of waters was broken, contractions picked up quickly and Veronica filled the birthing tub and encouraged my daughter to get in.  My daughter  went through contractions in the tub and progressed quickly.  As she got on the bed to start pushing, Veronica encouraged her to be on her knees with her head and arms resting on the raised head of the bed.  Her pushing progressed well in this position.  Veronica was always listening to my daughter's wishes and was quick to make suggestions if my daughter did not know what to do.  She was a great guide and spent the time that was needed on her knees at the tub supporting my daughter through every contraction.  She was an excellent doula and I would highly recommend her skills.  My background is a former labor and delivery nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner working in Women's Health.  Veronica has a love for what she does in supporting women in birth, and I give her the highest recommendation for her work.  She met with us before and after the birth - even more than simply being present at the birth.  Her presence improved the whole experience of this birth.
