Sheila’s support during my pregnancy and birth was invaluable!

I pictured a doula as delivery room support but discovered her assistance in pregnancy and postpartum was equally needed.

During pregnancy, I felt physically weak and out of shape. Her coaching me in Body Ready Method classes improved my physical resilience and enormously boosted my confidence heading into the birth.

At the delivery she was very attuned to my needs and was always ready with massages, comfort measures, words of encouragement, and position suggestions during hours of labor. Her presence also empowered my husband to be my supporter (which was very important to me) through suggestions of massage techniques he could use on me, or noticing when he was weary and offering a snack. My husband and I were both so grateful for her kindness!

Her visits after the birth were also quite needed. My postpartum anxiety was on high alert, worrying if my newborn was eating enough, breathing too loud, sleeping too long -all the first time mom stress, lol! It was very reassuring to have her affirm what was normal or abnormal newborn behavior.

Absolutely loved her support and would definitely hire Sheila again!
