Post a testimonial for Kayla Gonzales

Through my pregnancy Kayla was aware of my appointments and how we were doing. I can say that if I needed anything, she would be available any time. She even helped in times when I thought I was going into labor and as a first time mom, this immediate help was invaluable. Some weeks before my scheduled induction, she came to my home to see me and to help me make a birth plan. She didn't push one way or another. She simply listened, helped educate me, and empowered me to make informed decisions. When it was time for me to give birth, she brought her bag of tricks and was ready for the show. She brought things I asked for, she set the mood and made me feel comfortable. She exceeded my expectations in this area. She had motivational cards- I still say mine to this day- "This is hard. And I'm doing great". I'll never forget that. She also prayed with me and for me. When I needed something and it wasn't taken care of, she helped me advocate for myself. When I couldn't, she reminded the nurses of what I needed. She put up fairy lights, had the essential oils going and music set up. When I was in pain, she quickly got to work. She helped me with stretching, applying pressure and using the ball. She also taught my husband some ways in which he could help me. When I was giving birth, her touch was the one I remember most, and not my husband's. Her hands held mine and her words carried me into receiving my bundle of joy into my chest. She was supportive, intuitive, loving and nurturing. In summary, Kayla made the experience of my first birth a magical one. Aside from taking away my physical pain (which she would have done if she could) she did everything imaginable. She also documented the process for us so that we could be completely immersed in the experience as first time parents. After I gave birth she came to visit a few times to check on us and help in any way. We were blessed with Kayla and I'm ever pregnant again, I hope she'll be part of it as well.

This was my second pregnancy, and I didn’t have a doula with my first. I can confidently say that having one made a big difference. Kayla was an amazing doula ,she made me feel so secure from beginning to end.
She’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the care she provides. Having someone like her during such a crucial time was invaluable. I found myself looking to her when doctors and nurses asked me questions, because I trusted her. With just a glance, she would understand how I felt.
She provided counter pressure during every contraction, and her words of encouragement while I pushed helped more than I can say.
Overall, I 100% recommend Kayla and absolutely plan to work with her again in the future.

Kayla was literally a Godsend as my doula, offering emotional, physical and mental support. She was so hands on throughout my labor comforting, empowering, and motivating me to push through and making sure my decisions were heard and respected. I’m so happy to have met her when I did, I would recommend her without hesitation.

I truly cannot say enough good things about my doula experience with Kayla — she was an absolute angel! I’m beyond grateful for the way she stepped in so last minute and was such a calm, grounding presence throughout my entire labor. She answered all my questions, helped me stay cool, calm, and collected, and made the whole experience so much more peaceful. One of the biggest game changers for me was how she created such a beautiful, soothing environment — from the lighting to the music and essential oils, everything was just perfect and helped me stay centered. Even my mom couldn’t stop raving about how helpful and reassuring she was! She brought so much peace to the whole room — not just to me, but to everyone around me.
I truly couldn’t have done it without her, and I have zero negative feedback. Just endless thanks! ??

I loved having Kayla as my doula. I felt very heard, comforted and safe from the moment she became my doula to the moment I gave birth. My first pregnancy was rough but my second was much more relaxed and less stressful thanks to Kayla. She definitely is a mother of the mothers!

Kayla is amazing! She was my postpartum doula for several weeks. She has a wealth of knowledge in postpartum care and made me very empowered. Her program really helped me to attain the mindset I needed for getting through those days where I felt the most overwhelmed. She worked with me in creating affirmation post its that she later reminded me of when I needed them most. She was the sweetest to not only my baby boy but also to my 9y/o daughter who loves to converse about all things gymnastics and baking. She gave me time and company when needed. She met my needs by being intentional about the details of what I needed during her visits. My baby actually fell asleep with Kayla during one of her visits, which he doesn’t do with everyone. Kayla is very easy to talk to. Like a friend just over for sweets and good convos. She is very assertive when it comes to ensuring mom and baby’s needs are met. As she also reminded me that postpartum isn’t just black and white. My postpartum journey can be whatever I want it to be and she wanted to help me achieve my goals. Something as silly as me really wanting to organize my gym or take a walk, or even just doing nothing but caring for me and my kids. She encouraged me and never imposed what general “postpartum” should look like. It was tailored and personalized to me. Thank you Kayla for the reminder that postpartum isn’t a one size fits all. I’m thankful for my DOULA!
