We first met Amy in an expecting parents class at our local hospital. We were very impressed with her ability to communicate very nuanced topics clearly and compassionately without coming across as judgemental.

When we hired Amy as a postpartum doula, every time she visited she was ready to help us with whatever we needed, whether that was actually caring for our newborn son, or washing baby bottles / doing laundry. Her emotional support was also so valuable - she was so positive and encouraging of us, and we could always trust her to give us balanced and thoughtful info on sensitive topics. Her support of my transition to being a new dad was also extremely valuable

In summary, working with Amy was amazing - I will always be grateful for  the support she provided us at such an important time in our lives

Amy saved me after I had my 3rd baby, I could sing her praises forever! She was communicative, kind and supportive. She understood my needs as a momma and was so loving with my kiddos. Thank you Amy for knowing just how to care for my family!

Amy was with us for our first baby and she's joining us for our second!  With our first kid, there were so many things we didn't know - how to use the baby wrap, the carrier. She taught us so many things like that, and also carried us through that second month when our daughter had colic and gas.  She has so many tips and tricks and gave me (mom) the space to rest and take care of myself.  I would even leave the house, get a coffee, walk our dog, - - all while knowing that Amy was taking amazing care with my daughter and me ??????

Our family started working with Amy in 2021, when my first baby was born. I remember how much I trusted her immediately. Since that first meeting, that trust has only grown, and I knew that I'd have the support I needed when I brought my second home from the hospital late last year. Amy has always been there for me and my babies in exactly the way we need her to be; my worries disappear when she walks through the door because I know we will all be cared for. And her reassurance and gentle guidance have helped me become a more confident, capable mother. She's just the best!

Amy felt like family right away. Having her there on the first day when you get home from the hospital was amazing and allowed my husband and I to ease into being home with the baby. Especially after a long labor and light sleep in the hospital it's great to have Amy to allow your brain to shut off to get actual sleep. We had Amy come about every two to three days, it allowed us to catch up on sleep right when we needed it most. I was pumping, so I would pump and put the bottle in the fridge and go back to sleep. Amy truly handled everything during those rest breaks I needed while also finding some laundry, or washing bottles and pump parts (the never ending task!!). Amy is great to talk with, is funny, and has a great personality. There was a week or two where I was starting to question if I had PPD, and chatting with Amy for 20 minutes before I headed up to rest made me feel more like me again. Amy helped with a mix of nights and days which I enjoyed. Being a first time parent, Amy taught me a lot and I really enjoyed her knowledge of tiny developmental cues along the way. Example- "now that he is staring to drool, you may notice his poop contains a little mucus" Tons of things I had noticed in my son and was thankful Amy pointed out where developmental milestones and normal!! If you are having a hard time choosing between doulas, end your thinking and just go with Amy, you won't regret it.
