As your birth doula, I am honored to support you in any setting, including hospital births. When working in a hospital environment, I: Provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support — complementing the care you receive from your medical team. Help you advocate for your birth preferences, offering reminders and encouragement so your voice remains centered in decision-making. Offer comfort techniques like massage, position changes, breathing support, and grounding presence to ease labor and promote progress. Maintain professional, respectful collaboration with doctors, midwives, and nurses, recognizing that we all share the goal of a safe, positive birth experience for you and your baby. Support you through unexpected changes with calm reassurance, helping you navigate your options if your birth plan needs adjustment. Stay by your side to ensure you feel heard, cared for, and empowered throughout your hospital birth journey. My role is to work with your medical team, for you — keeping your emotional well-being, preferences, and overall birth experience at the heart of it all.

Attends birth center births? Some Birth Centers
Supporting you at a birth center allows me to partner with a team that already values personalized, low-intervention care. In this setting, I: Provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout labor, using comfort measures like massage, counterpressure, movement, and breathing techniques. Help you stay grounded and connected to your body, your baby, and your vision for birth, offering encouragement and reassurance every step of the way. Work closely and respectfully with the midwifery team, honoring the birth center’s model of care while keeping your unique wishes and needs at the center. Support your partner (if present) by offering guidance and practical help, ensuring they feel involved, calm, and confident. Assist in navigating any unexpected decisions, providing informational support if a transfer or other change becomes necessary. Stay with you until after birth, helping ensure a smooth transition into immediate postpartum bonding and recovery. My presence at your birth center experience is all about helping you feel safe, supported, and fully empowered as you welcome your baby.

Attends home births? Any Home Birth
Home birth offers a uniquely intimate and empowering environment, and I am honored to support you in that sacred space. During your home birth, I: Provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support, helping you stay grounded, confident, and connected throughout labor. Offer comfort measures such as massage, counterpressure, positional changes, hydrotherapy support, and breathing techniques. Work collaboratively and respectfully with your midwifery team, ensuring your birth remains safe, supported, and centered around your wishes. Help create a calm, nurturing atmosphere — adjusting lighting, music, scents, and other details to support your comfort and natural birthing instincts. Support your partner (if present) so they feel involved, empowered, and cared for during the experience. Stay after the birth to assist with immediate postpartum care, helping ensure you and your baby are comfortable, connected, and off to a strong start. At your home birth, my role is to help you fully embody the beauty, power, and peace of birthing in your own space.

Fee Details

My fee reflects the value, time, and dedication I pour into supporting you through one of the most important experiences of your life. It covers much more than just being present at your birth — it includes: Comprehensive Prenatal Support: Multiple meetings to build trust, discuss your birth preferences, answer questions, and prepare you emotionally, mentally, and physically for birth. 24/7 On-Call Availability: From 37 weeks until your baby is born, I am on-call day and night, ready to join you when labor begins, no matter when that is. Continuous Labor Support: I stay by your side throughout active labor, providing emotional encouragement, physical comfort techniques, advocacy, and informational support — sometimes for many long hours.
