My journey to explore becoming a doula started when I was young. I developed an incredible interest in childbirth. I took care of my sister during her deliveries and supported her postpartum. Once I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to go through a midwife and fell in love with the experience, culminating in a beautiful home birth. When I had my second child almost eight years later, I went through the same midwives. However, at 36 weeks, I had to transfer to a hospital birth due to an unexpected complication. I had a doula and midwife at the hospital, and I still had a beautiful experience. Now that I’m done having children, I want to be the support I received during both of my pregnancies for other families. We can do a Zoom meet and greet!
