Post a testimonial for Emily Vanderoef
4/25/2025
As soon as I knew that I was pregnant, I was certain that I wanted Emily Vanderoef to be present at my birth. Emily exudes “comfortable vibes”whenever you are in her presence. She’s confident and kind and passionate about birth and babies. Throughout my pregnancy, Emily was there for me. She sent me a multitude of helpful, motivational, and informative reading material, videos and podcasts so that I didn’t have to wade through all the information by myself. She was always upbeat and encouraging and I felt that I could trust her to advocate and give me sound, balanced answers to all my birthing questions and concerns.
Emily really took a hands-on approach in helping me prepare for birthing my twins. She helped me put together my birth plan and gave me several prenatal messages. She also helped me to prepare my birthing space and personally coached my husband and I on different positions we could use during labor to reduce pain.
She attended my widwife appointments and ultrasounds. She was there when I found out I had to have a C-section instead of a home birth because one baby had stopped growing. She comforted me while I cried and later that evening, she came and helped me and my husband get our home ready for our babies and our hospital bags packed. She came to the hospital and was there while I waited to go into surgery and was there after the babies were delivered. Her presence gave me confidence to face my fear of the unknown and helped me regulate my emotions. I also knew that I had an advocate who understood what I wanted and would support me in my choices.
In conclusion, I would recommend Emily Vanderoef to any mom who is looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and capable Doula to support her in her birth experience.
Sincerely,
Mindy Steele
