Where do I begin? Kristin continues to be a highlight of my labor story as I recount it three weeks later. I assumed we'd use a doula for our first pregnancy and then be good without one moving forward-- however, my husband said post-labor, "Kristin will be at every one of our children's births. I'd pay 10x more for her." 
Our first Zoom meeting with her left me with so much peace. I told friends and family we could feel the Holy Spirit in her through the screen. That effect stayed consistent all the way to our postpartum meeting-- Kristin's education on labor and guidance throughout that day empowered me with so much confidence that the hard, beautiful, painful process is *exactly * how it is designed to be. I never felt fear during labor because every sensation was one Kristin had explained in our home meetings may occur in labor, so I could move through each sensation with the mindset of "this is right. This is good." 
Beyond the amazing prep during pregnancy, Kristin was crucial in labor. She brought my attention to areas of tension during labor (furrowed brow, tight jaw), and relaxing these areas truly allowed me to surrender to the process. When I was nearing pushing and my doctor saw a part of my cervix that needed some more work before pushing, Kristin confidently had me get in a lunge position for my next contraction, which immediately fixed the issue (I never would have thought to do this!). 
I cannot say enough good things about Kristin. She's peace-filled, she's real and raw, she's easy to talk to, she's your biggest cheerleader, she's the best support for YOUR support (my husband's gratitude for her is as strong as mine), she's thoughtful (we bawled at the letter she wrote us after our son was born), she's just the best. We've recommended her to every single friend who is thinking about having children.

Kristin was essential to my experience in having a redemptive and successful unmedicated VBAC. After having an emergency cesarean under general anesthesia with my first, I made the decision to try for a vbac and knew that I would need a supportive doula. I first met with Kristen over FaceTime and from that very first call I could feel the caring and peace she radiates. She was so supportive of my decision to try for a vbac and sent  me lots of resources so that I could make the best decisions possible for my situation. My husband and I had two prenatal appointments with Kristen where we discussed birth preferences, stages of labor, and pain management techniques. Kristen answered all our questions in a way that left us feeling so empowered. On the day I went into labor she was with us through every step of the way. She advocated for me when my provider wanted to break my water earlier than I felt comfortable doing and guided me through various techniques to try to help me progress with my labor naturally when I stalled out. She helped me talk through my feelings and come to decisions I felt positive about. As I entered the active labor stage, Kristen kept me grounded through breathing techniques and movements. This allowed me to not panic with the intense surges but instead relax into them and work with my body. Kristen helped my husband know how best to support me as well with positions that made the contractions more manageable and helped us feel connected. Kristen took wonderful photos and videos to help us remember this experience as our sweet baby boy made his way into the world. She even got us dinner after being at the hospital with us for 18 hours. She checked in with me during the tricky postpartum stage and met with me again to talk through our birth experience and offer support. I cannot recommend Kristen highly enough for anyone seeking an outstanding doula for their birth!

Where do I begin? I had searched and put energy out into the universe to come across the perfect Doula  for me and my birth experience. I always knew I wanted the support of a female during this time. I had seen many around but it wasn't until a friend had referred her to me and just hearing the way my friend had spoke of her, her calmness and her kindness made it an easy decision to reach out to her. I met with her for coffee for the first time where she's so kindly ask so much about me and my hopes and goals for bringing my baby into the world. Kristin will meet with you a few times before giving birth to prepare you and your spouse, give tips and tricks and what to expect. When the time came close, I ended up having to be induced which was not my plan but Kristin was by my side to make sure I was aware of every step that was going on during the process. Her presence was other worldly, she stayed by my side through every step of my labor reminding me of my confidence and ability to keep going. She worked with me every contraction reminding me how to breath even when I thought I couldn't.
After choosing an epidural which was not my plan she continued to stay by my side and guide me though medicated labor and delivery. I still very much needed her support as my epidural didn't work. God knew I would need her no matter what I chose that day! She was with us all the way through delivery and stayed after delivery to help us with whatever we needed. She even went and got us food and 1 am after delivery. She is an angel who loves what she does and truly makes you feel like you are her only expected mother she's working with. I will never forget our time together and the strength she gave me during a life changing experience!

Kristin was absolutely wonderful to have support my first birth. From our first meeting at a coffee shop, she felt warm, supportive, and so excited to help me achieve the birth I was dreaming of. Our prenatal visits were so useful where we went over what to expect from the stages of birth, different labor positions, my birth plan, and all the many tricks and assists that she could provide.

Nobody expected me to have a 48 hour labor, but she was with us for at least 40 of those hours, rubbing my back, reminding me of my words of affirmation, squeezing my hips, walking with me, checking in with my emotional state, to not so glamorous bits like cleaning up body fluids, sleeping on the floor, forcing me to stay hydrated/fueled when I wasn't always willing.

Kristin went above and beyond for us, and my husband and I could not be more thrilled with her compassionate care. I would recommend her services to anyone and feel very blessed that she was part of my daughter's birth

We were gifted with Kristin's doula services, having no clue how incredibly life changing it would be to have her on our team. The original thought behind having a doula for our son's birth was primarily for me to have the physical assistance I would need that my husband could not provide for me due to a recent shoulder surgery. However, Kristin was so much more than that for us both. From the moment we officially met, she was a source of great comfort and peace. She was able to provide the physical assistance for me during my labor, holding my weight as I stood through each contraction. She made incredibly helpful suggestions throughout labor to help alleviate my pain, while also allowing my husband to be involved as much as possible, even in his sling. She advocated for me to doctors and nurses when I was working hard to focus on listening to my body. She did a phenomenal job of not only caring for me, but caring for my husband as well. In the midst of the worst pain I've encountered, I was experiencing the most peaceful spirit of joy...and I believe that to be in part due to Kristin's presence in our hospital room. The intentionality behind Kristin's work...down to every single detail, only continued after my son was born. I genuinely cannot imagine ever giving birth again without the gift of a doula, but (hopefully) more specifically--Kristin's presence. If you are on the fence about whether or not a doula would be right for you, my encouragement is that you would meet with her and allow yourself the gift of encountering such a powerful and gentle soul. I will forever advocate for doula services for any mama who is pregnant, regardless of whether it is their first birth or not! Our lives have forever been changed for the better because of our experience with Kristin, and I do not say that lightly. We are so grateful for her work and the way she is blessing families as they experience the gift of bringing new life into the world.

We LOVED having Kristin as our doula; we can't imagine our birth experience without her. We loved her so much that we gifted her services to a friend. I truly can't recommend her enough to anyone who wants an advocate in the room who can provide a relaxing yet assured environment, gentle instruction for the birth partner, and innovative ways to ensure delivery is as smooth as possible, especially if you're planning an unmedicated birth.

Kristin met with us prior to my due date to walk me through ways she can step in and support. She was so thoughtful and intentional with her communication and listened carefully and intently to my desires and worries around pregnany and birth. She even toured our hospital independently so she could feel confident navigating it the day I went into labor. Prior to my due date, she would provide suggestions for activities, stretches, snacks, and to-dos to help prepare me for labor. It was so nice to know that I could text her with any question or concern that came up.

Kristin spent over 9 hours overnight with us in the hospital for my labor, and I don't know how we would have survived without her. Kristin asked questions in the delivery room that I never would have though to ask, put me in positions that were essential for progressing labor, and was always honest and encouraging in a gentle yet guiding way. It's such a blessing that she was there to welcome my baby boy into the world, and it's such a gift to share with him that she was there creating a positive environment on his birthday. She helped us recount the birth experience after the fact -- you don't realize how much you don't remember! -- and gave us lifelong memories with photos and videos. My mom has five kids and got to be there for our 1-week follow-up visit with Kristin, and she called my sisters and all her friends afterward to tell them how she wished she had someone like Kristin at all of her births!
