Makaila was my doula throughout my first pregnancy and birth! From the first moment we met Makaila, we knew she was warm, kind, informative and excited to be apart of our birth team. Makaila was very knowledgeable about nutrition during and after pregnancy. She was always there to answer any of my questions and concerns being our first baby, there was quite a few. While creating our birth plan, Makaila was able to cover all bases and exceeded our expectations ensuring myself and our baby would be supported and protected as we wanted. I so enjoyed Makaila's soothing presence, there was nothing but unconditional support and encouragement when our birth plan had quite a few changes in the moments of labour, she stayed calm and was able to provide physical and mental support for myself and my husband. Makaila also saw us through multiple postpartum home visits, which in the early days was so necessary, more than we realized. For her to show up and just listen and talk with us, along with assisted in some food prep, she truly went above and beyond to provide support for me and my family. Along with providing a wonderful lactation tea which was delicious and comforting. We are truly so grateful for her. Makaila was a perfect addition to our pregnancy, birth, post partum experience and I truly can't thank her enough!
