Magnolia is a seamless fit into our family. She was not only easy to connect with from the start, but she has the skills to adapt to families of different ethnicities, classes, and has experience with infants with a vast array of different needs. The breadth of knowledge she has about pregnancy, L & D, breastfeeding, newborn and infant care stretch beyond her years.

As a person with anxiety, depression, and a history of chronic pain, I was hoping for a doula who could keep me calm and grounded during labour. Magnolia went above and *beyond*. She stayed with me through 30 hours of labour, delivery, and an unexpected emergency situation. She supported me through labour and delivery, slowed the chaotic pace, informed me of what was happening and of my choices.

Having Magnolia for both birth and postpartum support has altered my postpartum experience. It’s so refreshing having a new set of eyes on our home, someone to take initiative on tasks I’ve overlooked - tidying, laundry, meal prep, self-care. She takes the mental load off of having help; I don’t need to explain how to care for our baby - she just knows.

If you’re wavering on whether to invest in a birth and postpartum doula, I can assert: the value far outweighs the cost. We’ve adored working with Magnolia, and would recommend her over and over again.

As first time parents, we are endlessly grateful to have had Magnolia by our side - first as our birth doula, and now as our postpartum doula.

Initially, we were unsure about hiring a birth doula, but looking back, we truly can't imagine going through the birth experience without her support. Even when I wasn’t convinced I was in labor, Magnolia trusted her instincts and rushed to our home - she just knew. At the hospital, her calm presence, comforting guidance through every contraction, and quiet advocacy for additional medical support made all the difference. She even managed to capture the most beautiful birth photos without disrupting a moment.

Magnolia’s level of care is simply unmatched. Her passion for birth, babies, and supporting families shines through in every visit. She seems to intuitively know what we need (often before we do) and takes initiative with such grace and confidence. From guiding us through both breast and bottle feeding with patience and expertise, to lending a hand with laundry, meal prep, and the everyday tasks that often feel overwhelming, Magnolia is truly a doula of many strengths. Her support goes far beyond just the practical. She brings a calm, nurturing presence that adapts to whatever the moment calls for. Magnolia knows when to step in with hands on help and when to quietly support from the background, giving us space to rest, bond, or just breathe. Whether she's offering gentle encouragement when our baby is crying, or quietly folding baby clothes while we nap, her care always feels intentional and attuned to our needs. 

We trust Magnolia completely with our baby and feel incredibly fortunate to have her as a part of our journey. Her presence has brought us reassurance and strength during a time of tremendous change. Any family would be lucky to have Magnolia during this emotional, challenging, and beautiful time in life!

A Lifesaver, A Rock, and an Absolute Angel – Magnolia Was Everything We Needed and More

I cannot put into words how deeply grateful I am for Magnolia’s unwavering support throughout my pregnancy, labour, and postpartum journey. As a 33-year-old woman living in Calgary with just my husband, without the presence of my parents during this crucial time, Magnolia became the family I needed.

From the very beginning, she was a pillar of strength. She guided me through every stage of pregnancy, offering wisdom, reassurance, and constant encouragement—especially during the challenging days of my third trimester. No matter the time, she was always available via text, answering every question with patience and helping to ease my anxiety.

When my labour lasted an exhausting 28.5 hours, Magnolia never once left my side. She didn’t take a single break. She anticipated my needs before I could even express them, helping me find the right positions to keep labour progressing smoothly. Her presence was grounding, her energy uplifting, and her expertise invaluable. I truly don’t know how I would have made it through without her.

Even after delivery, she continued to be an incredible source of support. On short notice, she showed up to help us get some much-needed rest. She guided me through the challenges of breastfeeding, helped us care for our newborn, and made sure I understood the physical and emotional changes I was experiencing. She held space for me through emotional outbursts, never once making me feel alone.

Magnolia made me feel safe, heard, and empowered in every way possible. She wasn’t just a doula—she was my lifeline, my cheerleader, and a true rockstar. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this journey with us. If you are looking for someone who is deeply compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to your well-being, Magnolia is the one.

I call Nolia my guardian angel. She is amazing, friendly, helpful, lovely, kind, intelligent, knowledgeable, well-researched, trustworthy, and a big support emotionally also. She has the ability to manage and question chaotic and complex situations correctly. She has a character more mature than her age.
