Sarah and Dani are absolutely lovely! I was so stressed with finding a doula and as soon as I met them, I knew I had found the perfect team. I felt an amazing connection with both of them immediately! They put my mind at ease and I knew I would be in good hands during my labor, delivery and postpartum. They were so reassuring, kind, professional and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions at all hours of the day and night. Sarah went above and beyond, helping me with my labor, taking care of me and making me feel safe. Even though I have only spent a short time with Sarah and Dani, I can say that I will miss them and I highly recommend them to anyone in search of a doula. Words can't express how much I have appreciated having them be a part of such a special moment in my life. Thank you Sarah and Dani, I will never forget you. ??????

I sincerely appreciated Dani and Sarah's genuine, caring approach to birth and postpartum support. They were a valuable team that worked well together to provide emotional support and practical help. They clearly love what they do and were whole-heartedly invested in my preferences and overall well-being.

They showed respect for my wishes without hesitation, judgement, or stress. They reinforced the active involvement of my husband as the primary birth support, which bolstered our confidence and empowered him.

To you prospective parents,

I cannot say enough good things about this team! If you could have seen these ladies in action, you would understand. The care they provided to my wife and I during our home birth was incredible. They work beautifully together and knew how to support my wife through every stage of the birthing process. Alongside that, they helped me do a better job in supporting my wife with great advice, providing me with the knowledge and tools to be a more involved birth partner. We truly couldn't have done it without them. The amount of respect shown to my wife and I, their gentle, genuine warmth and quality of care they provide is absolutely amazing. As professionals in their craft, they always showed up on time to scheduled appointments, honoured our privacy and birthing expectations and kept fluid, open lines of communication throughout the entire process. If you are looking for doula birth support, look no further. The doula team of Dani&Sarah helped bring my son into the world and will forever be part of my family.

When my wife and I learned that we would be welcoming twins into our family (already had 2,4,6 year olds) we knew we would need support. We had interviewed three different Doula's and Dani was the easy choice. 

I really appreciated how kind and loving she was towards our girls. I really felt like we could trust her and knew the babies were in capable hands. Her nursing background was a big positive for us. 

I also appreciated her willingness to help in other areas of our home while we slept. Tidying, dishes, folding laundry. Waking up to those tasks being completed was incredibly helpful.

I was so glad I went with Sarah as my doula! Our prenatal meetings were nice to have before the 'big day' , she and her partner Dani provided great information and education that helped me make informed choices about my birth plan and helped me set up for success for my breastfeeding journey! They were available and very responsive through text for any lingering questions I had and I felt like they were on my side regardless of my choices and provided a non-judgemental professional perspective on labour, delivery, postpartum and motherhood! 

I had a very long labour and Sarah was tirelessly with me through every contraction and she stayed with me to the joyous end! She helped remind me of my wishes, offered great suggestions and was a sounding board when I needed to make some big decisions. She also encouraged me and lifted my spirits when I received some discouraging news. Sarah was a support for my husband as well, to have someone else trustworthy there to support me so he could get something to eat or take a break, knowing full well that I would be in good hands! 

Sarah was also wonderful during postpartum visits, bringing me protein balls and helping me process and debrief my labour and delivery (which unexpectantly took quite an emotional toll on me). As I navigated through this journey to motherhood, it was so good to not feel alone, that there were women who have been through this and were knowledgeable in this area, a clear voice amongst all the 'noise and opinions' social media or well-meaning relatives offer.  I highly recommend Sarah and Perinatal Embrace for your prenatal, L&D and postpartum support!

Dani was truly amazing!  She helped me so much before and after my c-section.  I could not have done it without her.

She provided multiple prenatal meetings before my birth which helped ease my anxiety about the whole process.  She took the time to answer all my questions so I felt more informed, confident and ready to take on this new chapter of my life. As a first time mom, that was key. She is also a breastfeeding specialist and provided invaluable support initially right after my c-section and ongoing throughout my breastfeeding journey.

I highly recommend working with Dani for birth and postpartum. She is very experienced and passionate about her work and was there to support me every step of the way. So glad and thankful to have worked with her.

Sarah an absolutely incredible support for myself and my family throughout the end of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  Sarah and Dani (the other half of the "Perinatal Embrace" dynamic duo) were professional, knowledgeable, passionate and kind throughout my time with them.  From the first communication I felt comfortable and at ease with them, as well as confident in their knowledge and experience.  While creating my birth plan, they were so awesome at sharing their knowledge, while at the same time making it clear that whatever I wanted for my birth was totally up to me.  I unexpectedly went into labour at 34 weeks and Sarah was there for me at the hospital within just a couple hours of letting her know what was happening.  After ensuring I was settled at the hospital and had everything I needed, Sarah and Dani maintained constant communication while I was admitted to the hospital for medication and monitoring.  After two days I was in active labour and as soon as I let Sarah know, she was on her way to the hospital immediately.  Sarah's presence was so comforting and made me feel calm and in control during the birth.  My baby was in the NICU for three weeks after birth and Sarah and Dani checked in regularly, allowed me to share updates and just vent if needed, but I never felt pressured to respond if I was overwhelmed or had too much on my plate.  I can't recommend Sarah (and Dani) enough!

We are so grateful for Sarah's support postpartum with our second child. Both our families live out of town and my husband wasn't able to take as much time off work this second time around so we ended up hiring Sarah.

Initially we thought we would only need her for 2-3 weeks but she was so amazing we ended up keeping her for 5-6 weeks, and joked if we could afford it we would keep her until the kids turned 18. She helped take care of the baby, meal prep, bring me food/drinks while I was nursing, laundry, cleaning and also was a great person to talk to and have around. She would jump in and know where to help if you didn't (aka newborn fog) and always stayed busy making the most of her time at your house. 

We are so grateful for our time with her and to have someone we trusted with our newborn. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about extra support postpartum!!

We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have Sarah help with the birth of our daughter. She was a huge resource and support for us before, during, and after birth.

As a husband I felt confident I could better assist my wife during childbirth (not the case for our first child) with help from Sarah. The birth went very smooth, we were able to work together to provide my wife with the support she needed. It was amazing to see her comfort, support, and encourage my wife throughout the process.

Dani supported our family for the first 3 months as we have adjusted to life as a family of 4! She helped catch up on laundry, sterilized bottles/pump parts, dishes, snuggled our little guy overnight, much needed sleep and provided emotional support!

Had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of being supported by Dani during my Postpartum. We met through Calgary Doula Association "Speed Dating" event and thats when we first knew she was the one! Dani has such great resources to offer during your Pregnancy journey, not just Postpartum. She did Prenatal visits, which is such a great way to create a game plan and made us feel more prepared for when our little one came earthside. She is willing to answer any questions/doubts you may have, and if she doesn't have the answer herself she is willing to guide you to who does. From folding laundry, to prepping meals, to giving you some self care time - her humble personality makes her easy to talk to and great to connect with. Her readiness to be available sets her a part from most! Can't say enough good things about her! Won't hesitate to have her support us for future babies to come! Thank you for everything

Dani's support after the birth of my second baby has been phenomenal. She helped me in my recovery after the C-section. Right from helping me bathe after the surgery to helping my daughter bathe, she was always there for us. She also cooked yummy soup and sweet dish for us. She helped us in doing the laundry too. When it came to breastfeeding, I had some apprehensions about using the breast pump and I remember she was always there to listen to me and allowed me to make my own decision with ease. I am forever grateful to her.

Dani gave amazing support for me during my postpartum days as a first time mom! She provided overnight care for baby, food for our family, emotional and mental support for me, breastfeeding guidance, and a laugh or two!  I couldn't have done it without her, and recommend her to everyone on their post partum journey!

Dani supported our family after the birth of our second child from March-June.

She has been with us literally since day one when she completed an overnight shift for us the day I gave birth. I was so thankful to have her watch over our son so I could rest. She was compassionate and understanding when I explained my anxieties connected to events from my first postpartum experience.

Her support shaped what has been an extremely positive postpartum experience (a complete 180 from what I went through 2 years ago when my first was born).

Dani was a huge help in so many ways (sibling support, baby care, laundry, organization, meal prep, allowing me to get in a nap, etc) and we so value the quality of care she provided to our family. She is compassionate, helpful and a total go getter. I'm thankful for her gentle reminders to take care of myself instead of cramming too many tasks into my days.

I would highly recommend Dani to anyone looking for postpartum support. We definitely plan on hiring Dani again in the future. She is everything and more we could have wished for in a doula.

I am so grateful to have met Dani and received support from her.  I decided to seek out postpartum doula care as I was feeling a bit anxious about the transition from a family of 3 to a family of 4.  She checked-in regularly and listened to my concerns with compassion. Dani provided me with amazing helpful resources and hands-on teaching with babywearing (which is something I struggled with before). She also spent some time with our newborn so I could give our older child some 1-on-1 attention.  Our family really benefited from her wealth of knowledge and kindness. Sarah was an incredible help to us after the birth of our second child. She not only provided advice and support with our newborn, she also provided invaluable help with our toddler who absolutely loves her!

She has the ability to anticipate exactly what is needed and step in to do it, like help out with holding the newborn, laundry, cooking, dishes, and making us snacks (I was always hungry because I was breastfeeding!)

She provided me support and resources for breastfeeding, and also looked up and provided resources for connecting with other parents, postpartum support resources etc.

Early on, she watched both of our children while my husband and I stepped out for a much needed coffee break which was very much appreciated. Another time, she cared for and entertained our toddler while we took our newborn to an appointment.

Sarah really went above and beyond, bringing delicious muffins and pancakes for us and our toddler. We felt so taken care of!

Sarah is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, empathetic and extremely capable overall.  We cannot recommend her enough!

My husband, our new born and I had the gift of Sarah's expertise for eight weeks, when our daughter was one month old.

Sarah’s compassionate and accommodating nature as a Doula sets her apart from many other professionals in the field. She is incredibly resourceful, patient, tender and understanding. She takes the time to learn about the child in her care and the family’s wants and needs. 

Sarah’s professionalism is second to none. She consistently brought forth a caring and positive attitude, allowing us as parents to feel at peace that our daughter was in very capable and safe hands. She was proactive in her planning, collaborative in organizing her schedule, and sought out the best community resources.
