I had an amazing experience working with Tesia as my doula for our fourth baby. We had a homebirth and Tesia helped make it a smooth and positive experience. I looked forward to our visits and she was so easy to talk to and always made me feel at peace about my birth plan. She is very knowledgeable about physiological birth and a wealth of knowledge! Highly recommend adding Tesia to your birth team!

When I found out I was pregnant with my second I knew I wanted to unitize a doula . I’m so glad I had Tesia from start to finish she exceeded our expectations. My birth process for me was very fast. Tesia arrived at my house around 7:45am when my contractions were 3 mins apart. We proceeded to leave for the hospital at 8:10 and were met with the morning rush hour traffic. We arrived to the hospital at 8:45 and after getting checked into triage we were immediately moved to a birthing suite. I was 6cm dilated upon arrival. Weeks prior I had went over my birth plan with Tesia and from the start she knew my plan was to get an epidural. Well once there the hopes of getting one quickly faded as my water broke just minutes after entering the birthing suite. The contractions got stronger and while I love my husband I knew that to get through this I needed to hang on tight to Tesia. As I wrapped my arms around Tesia we rocked through each contraction together she kept reminding me that my body was designed for this, and how strong I was. I even got to the point where I said I can’t do it I won’t do it and she told me “The only way to be done is to go through it!” She held my hand and my leg as I started to push and  on the 4th push his head and body came out all at once. She waited with us until we were moved to our room. I continued to express how grateful we were to have her there with us, and how I couldn’t imagine doing it without her. A few days after we returned home she came by for a postpartum visit. While here she made sure that any questions I had were answered. She helped me with latching, and made sure I knew I had her support even after birth. If you’ve made it this far and are considering having Tesia by your side go for it! You won’t regret it. She will forever be a major part of my birth story. We are now expecting baby number three and have chosen to have her by our side again.

Even with having a schedule C Section, Tesia was so helpful during my pregnancy, especially with figuring out high protein meals when I was diagnosed as pre diabetic. She also was amazing at helping me find natural relief from back/hip pain when my baby was sitting so low on my back. We are also grateful for her breastfeeding knowledge when my newborn showed signs of a dairy intolerance! She was so quick to help plan a course of action that helped us narrow down dairy as the allergy.
