We didn’t know we needed Chloe until we met her. It wasn’t until very late into my pregnancy, sometime around week 38, that we reached out to her for post-partum doula services and she was very flexible in accommodating us. As soon as we met her, we knew she was the person who would be now part of our journey as first-time parents. She was caring, attentive, listened to our concerns, and graciously supported us through every transition.
I had a complicated delivery and recovery, and her calming and reassuring presence allowed me to heal as my husband and I learned how to care for our newborn. She was very flexible in creating a schedule that adapted to our needs week by week, and always brought nourishing food, sometimes bringing extra for other family members. Looking back, the early weeks of post-partum were extremely difficult mentally and physically since I had undergone a C-section, but her support was essential in getting us organized, learning how to prepare bottles, showing us positions to feed the baby, techniques for soothing, how to baby-wear, how to handle visitors and protect our boundaries, guiding my husband on how to be a helpful partner, and even be a crying shoulder when things got tough.
Beyond being a doula, she’s also helped us with some babysitting now that our baby is older. It is comforting to know that our baby is cared for by someone who met our baby from birth and was familiar with our home dynamics. Hands down, she is our #1 option when we need someone to take care of our baby so we can have time for self care - which is also something she emphasized since day 1. If this was a voice message, it would consist of 10-15 minutes of nothing but good stories and praises for her - so this is our short and sweet version. We cannot recommend Chloe enough as a doula. She’s the best!

Chloe supported me and my family in our postpartum phase, almost immediately after birth and for several months. Their support was instrumental for my recovery as a birthing parent, with two small children (2 and 5 years old). They stepped in with care, reliability, adaptability, and a steady, calm presence that was grounding for us all in a moment of natural instability with so many shifts and changes for our family. Chloe was able to coordinate with my partner about what was most needed each day they were over, which was daily for the first two weeks. They took turns between childcare, for my older children, and helping care for me, and my newborn. I trusted Chloe deeply, and they witnessed me in deeply tender, vulnerable moments, offering me nutritious yummy food to eat, and an open heart as I went through the highs and lows of my postpartum season. They came in with so much love, respect, and reverence, but not "just" that, they also brought with them many skills in caregiving during postpartum, and caregiving of babies and small children. We are all very grateful to Chloe and the gifts of care they brought us through a much important (extended) moment in our family. As a birthing parent, I felt deeply held by them. As a parent of littles, I felt trusting of their interactions with my children. As a partner, I felt appreciation for how they actively considered my partner's needs, too. I wish Chloe could've been a part of my previous postpartum seasons, too! And I am glad they will continue to share their gifts with birthers and their families through these delicate, sacred moments of reproductive events (and all their possible outcomes!).

I was able to have a wonderful birth and postpartum experience in large part thanks to Chloe’s support and experience. Chloe reviewed my birth plan with me and my partner well in advance of my due date, asking open-ended questions to understand my perspective and providing nonjudgmental suggestions and advice. At the hospital, Chloe was calm and confident, providing additional tips and movements for labor while working alongside my partner to help follow my birth plan and communicate with hospital staff. Afterwards, Chloe seamlessly and immediately integrated herself into our family routine, taking care of all secondary tasks such as food and cleaning to allow my partner and I to prioritize caring for and learning about our baby. Chloe also provided tips and support around baby feeding, sleep, and baby wearing, and even helped tend to the baby when we needed rest and time. I can confidently say that we would not have made it without Chloe’s help and support!
