Absolutely amazing experience with Laura Yager as my birth doula! I had the pleasure of having her support during both my 2022 C-section birth and my 2023 vaginal birth, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person by my side. Laura’s care didn’t stop at the birth itself—she was there for me before, offering valuable advice and preparing me emotionally for each birth. Her post-birth care was just as incredible, ensuring I felt supported as I navigated the early days with my babies, Dominic and Dezi. One of the things I appreciated most was Laura's strong advocacy skills. She spoke up for me with the doctors and nurses at the hospital, ensuring my voice was heard and that I felt empowered in my decisions. Her knowledge, compassion, and ability to calmly and effectively communicate in high-stress moments were so comforting. Another special touch that I’ll always cherish was the beautiful birth story letter Laura wrote for both of my children. She captured every detail so perfectly and made me feel like my birth experiences were truly heard and celebrated. These letters are such a meaningful keepsake that I will treasure forever. Not only was she wonderful with me, but Laura also offered incredible support to my mom and partner, Geoff. Her ability to connect with everyone and help them feel at ease was so appreciated. I’m so grateful for her presence during such an important time in our lives. I highly recommend Laura to anyone in the Niagara region looking for a thoughtful, caring, and experienced doula.

Laura is one of those people you feel lucky to meet. She is sunshine in human form. She is one of the people I wouldn’t have gotten through my pregnancy, birth and postpartum without. Laura is focused on making your experience exactly what you want and treats you with such patience, respect and kindness. She is incredibly knowledgeable and gives you her 100% attention escort when you need her.  I only hope my next child will be lucky enough to have Laura as part of their beautiful beginning.

During my first labour and delivery I felt scared, nervous, and like I was missing the support of someone who knew what was happening. Laura provided all of that and more during the labour and delivery of my second baby. She was incredibly informed about what to expect at each stage of labour, and how to best transition to the next part of the process. Her suggestions of multiple positions to keep me as calm, comfortable, and relaxed as possible helped progress my labour without the need of any interventions. When I was very close to delivery and feeling like I couldn't go on, it was Laura who helped encourage me to continue, and gave me the assurance that I could do it. Laura was with me every step of the way, and there was never I time where I felt alone or scared. Thanks to her expertise and support, I look back on the birth of my son as a time of empowerment, strength and joy. I recommend Laura as a doula to any woman who wants a calm and incredibly helpful support person during the labour and delivery process.
