We are so happy that we chose Nuala as our doula.  She created a calm environment and was so supportive during challenging times.

Nuala provided significant support and guidance during the earlier months. She helped explain specifics related to birth options, which was so helpful for us in creating a clear birth plan. Nuala was supportive of all our hippy parenting ideas like elimination communication and sleep training, which gave us a lot of confidence to try them once baby came. She helped us learn some basics like baby wearing and changing diapers and was infinitely patient answering our many questions

Before labour, we had several medical challenges that created a lot of stress. Nuala was there over the phone to support and help us process. Most significantly, we were potentially going to have to deliver in a much different environment than we originally expected, which would have meant a change to our entire plan, as well as no longer having the same support system. During this time Nuala was extremely flexible in agreeing to change plans/ locations, and super reassuring that she's by our side no matter what. She was truly the one calm and constant thing, when everything else was confusing and scary. 

Labour and birth were honesty amazing, and the birth plan was perfect. Nuala was so sweet and supportive, she went out of her way to make sure me and my partner had everything we needed. She helped create a quite environment in the room, and was by our side during the entire labour and delivery. She stayed with us until we got totally settled after baby was born. She came to support us postpartum and was simply wonderful.

We are so thankful to her for being on this journey with us.

Nuala was a guiding light during my first pregnancy and home birth. She offered specific tips and resources for even the most minimal complaints or concerns. She was a beacon of calm through my quick and intense labour/birth.

Nuala responds excellently to requests and feedback, acting quickly in the moment to address the needs of the whole family with an emphasis on staying at the mother’s side. She offers a healing touch and a specialized kind of support that is difficult to find!

I am so glad we invited her to our birth, and my family looks forward to having her present for our future deliveries as well.
