My advocacy began in 2002 through lived experience, when I had to fight to be heard in a hospital setting while advocating for my own life and my child’s. Since then, I have used my voice publicly to educate on maternal health disparities and champion equal birth rights. Since 2022, I have taken that advocacy into legislative spaces at the local, state, and senate levels, working to influence policies that better protect mothers, babies, and families. This work is not just professional for me, it is personal, purposeful, and rooted in a deep commitment to birth justice and health equity.

Words can't fully express the gratitude I have for the support I received from my postpartum doula. As a mother navigating life after birth-with all the layers of healing, hormones, sleepless nights, and adjusting to a new normal-her presence was more than just helpful, it was sacred.
She brought a calming spirit into my home during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life. Her care felt personalized, attentive, and rooted in genuine compassion. Whether it was helping with baby care, making sure I was eating and hydrated, listening without judgment, or simply holding space for me to breathe and reset-she showed up in ways that mattered most.
As a mom of multiple children, including a newborn, this support wasn't just a luxury-it was a lifeline. She reminded me that I'm not alone, that rest is holy, and that it's okay to receive.
I'm forever grateful for the way she served me and my family with grace and love. I truly believe every mother deserves this level of postpartum care.
If you're considering hiring a doula, don't hesitate.
Invest in your healing, your peace, and your motherhood journey. You are worthy of being held, too.
